37 And a great storm of wind developed, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already being filled with water.[a] 38 And he was in the stern sleeping on the cushion, and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, is it not a concern to you that we are perishing?” 39 And he woke up and[b] rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Be quiet! Be silent!” And the wind abated and there was a great calm. 40 And he said to them, “Why are you fearful? Do you not yet have faith?” 41 And they were terribly frightened[c] and began to say[d] to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
