Light Under a Basket^(A)

^21 (B)Also He said to them, “Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?

The Lamp of the Body^(A)

^33 (B)“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a ^(C)basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

¹⁵ Nor do they ^(A)light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

The Parable of the Revealed Light^(A)

^16 (B)“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the ^(C)light.

The Gentiles Bless Zion

³ But fornication and all ^(A)uncleanness or ^(B)covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; ^4 (C)neither filthiness, nor ^(D)foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, ^(E)which are not fitting, but rather ^(F)giving of thanks. ⁵ For ^[a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any ^(G)inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Therefore do not be ^(H)partakers with them.

Walk in Light

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are ^(I)light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ⁹ (for ^(J)the fruit of the ^[b]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), ^10 (K)finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. ¹¹ And have ^(L)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[c]expose them. ^12 (M)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ¹³ But ^(N)all things that are ^[d]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. ¹⁴ Therefore He says:

Walk in Wisdom

^15 (P)See then that you walk ^[e]circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

¹⁵ that you may become blameless and ^[a]harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as ^(A)lights in the world, ¹⁶ holding fast the word of life, so that ^(B)I may rejoice in the day of Christ that ^(C)I have not run in vain or labored in ^(D)vain.

⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
