(A)And Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and (B)a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judea, and from Jerusalem, and from (C)Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of (D)Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard of all that He was doing and came to Him. (E)And He told His disciples that a boat should stand ready for Him because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd Him; 10 for He had (F)healed many, with the result that all those who had (G)afflictions pressed around Him in order to (H)touch Him. 11 And whenever the unclean spirits were seeing Him, they would fall down before Him and cry out, saying, “You are (I)the Son of God!” 12 And He (J)earnestly warned them not to [a]tell who He was.

Ministering to the Multitude

Jesus(A) departed with his disciples to the sea, and a large crowd followed from Galilee,(B) and a large crowd followed from Judea,(C) Jerusalem,(D) Idumea, beyond the Jordan,(E) and around Tyre(F) and Sidon.(G) The large crowd came to him because they heard about everything he was doing. Then he told his disciples to have a small boat(H) ready for him, so that the crowd wouldn’t crush him. 10 Since he had healed(I) many, all who had diseases were pressing toward him to touch(J) him. 11 Whenever the unclean(K) spirits(L) saw him, they fell down(M) before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God!” (N) 12 And he would strongly warn(O) them not to make him known.(P)
