And he spake to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because of the crowd, lest they should throng him: 10 for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had [c]plagues [d]pressed upon him that they might touch him. 11 And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. 12 And he charged them much that they should not make him known.

13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth unto him whom he himself would; and they went unto him. 14 And he appointed twelve, [e]that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 15 and to have authority to cast out demons: 16 [f]and Simon he surnamed Peter; 17 and [g]James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of [h]James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder: 18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and [i]James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the [j]Cananaean, 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also [k]betrayed him.

And he cometh [l]into a house. 20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself. 22 And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath [m]Beelzebub, and, [n]By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons. 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan hath risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. 28 Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin: 30 because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

31 And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without, they sent unto him, calling him. 32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. 33 And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren? 34 And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren! 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Jesús sana al hombre de la mano seca

(A)Otra vez entró Jesús en una sinagoga(B); y había allí un hombre que tenía una mano seca[a]. Y lo observaban(C) para ver si lo sanaba en el día de reposo, para poder acusar a Jesús(D). Y Jesús le dijo* al hombre que tenía la mano seca: «Levántate y ponte aquí en medio».

Entonces Jesús dijo* a los otros: «¿Es lícito en el día de reposo hacer bien o hacer mal, salvar una vida o matar?». Pero ellos guardaban silencio. Y mirando con enojo a los que lo rodeaban, y entristecido por la dureza de sus corazones, le dijo* al hombre: «Extiende tu mano». Y él la extendió, y su mano quedó sana[b](E). Pero cuando los fariseos salieron, enseguida comenzaron a tramar[c] con los herodianos(F) en contra de Jesús, para ver cómo lo podrían destruir.

Las multitudes siguen a Jesús

(G)Entonces Jesús se retiró al mar con Sus discípulos, y una gran multitud de Galilea lo siguió. Y también de Judea(H), de Jerusalén, de Idumea(I), del otro lado del Jordán, y de los alrededores de Tiro y Sidón(J), una gran multitud, que al oír todo lo que Jesús hacía, vino a Él.

Y dijo a Sus discípulos que tuvieran lista una barca para Él por causa de la multitud(K), para que no lo oprimieran; 10 porque Él había sanado a muchos(L), de manera que todos los que tenían aflicciones(M), para tocar a Jesús, se echaban sobre Él(N). 11 Y siempre que los espíritus inmundos veían a Jesús, caían delante de Él y gritaban: «Tú eres el Hijo de Dios(O)». 12 Pero Él les advertía con insistencia que no revelaran Su identidad[d](P).

Designación de los doce apóstoles

13 Después Jesús subió* al monte(Q), llamó*(R) a los que Él quiso, y ellos vinieron a Él. 14 Designó a doce[e], para que estuvieran con Él y para enviarlos a predicar, 15 y para que tuvieran autoridad de expulsar demonios.

Jesús y Beelzebú

20 Jesús llegó* a una casa(T), y la multitud se juntó* de nuevo(U), a tal punto que ellos ni siquiera podían comer[i](V). 21 Cuando Sus parientes(W) oyeron esto, fueron para hacerse cargo de Él, porque decían: «Está fuera de Sí(X)».

22 Y los escribas que habían descendido de Jerusalén(Y) decían: «Tiene a Beelzebú(Z); y expulsa los demonios por medio del príncipe de los demonios(AA)». 23 (AB)Llamándolos junto a Él, Jesús les hablaba en parábolas(AC): «¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás(AD)? 24 Si un reino está dividido contra sí mismo, ese reino no puede perdurar. 25 Si una casa está dividida contra sí misma, esa casa no podrá permanecer. 26 Y si Satanás(AE)se ha levantado contra sí mismo y está dividido, no puede permanecer, sino que ha llegado su fin[j].

Is It Lawful To Heal On The Sabbath? Jesus Heals a Man, Inflaming The Pharisees

And He entered again into the synagogue. And there was a man there having his hand having become-withered. And they were closely-watching Him to see if He would cure him on the Sabbath, in order that they might accuse Him. And He says to the man having the withered hand, “Arise into the middle”. And He says to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do-harm[a], to save a life or to kill?” But the ones were being silent. And having looked-around-at them with anger, while being deeply-grieved at the hardness of their heart, He says to the man, “Stretch out the hand”. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. And having gone out, the Pharisees immediately were giving counsel against Him with the Herodians[b] so that they might destroy Him.

A Great Multitude Comes To Jesus To Be Healed

And Jesus withdrew[c] to the sea with His disciples, and a great multitude from Galilee followed. And from Judea, and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and beyond the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude hearing all that He was doing came to Him. And He said to His disciples that a small-boat should be standing-ready-for Him because of the crowd— in order that they might not be pressing[d] Him. 10 For He cured many, so that they were falling-upon Him in order that all who were having scourges[e] might touch Him. 11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they were seeing Him, were falling-before Him and crying-out, saying that “You are the Son of God”. 12 And He was sternly rebuking them in order that they might not make Him known.

The Twelve Are Appointed

13 And He goes up on the mountain and summons whom He was wanting. And they went to Him. 14 And He appointed twelve, whom He also named apostles, in order that they might be with Him, and in order that He might send them out to proclaim 15 and to have authority to cast out the demons. 16 And He appointed the twelve, even Peter (He put the name on Simon), 17 and James, the son of Zebedee, and John, the brother of James (and He put on them the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), 18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon, the Cananaean[f], 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also handed Him over.

Scribes Say Jesus Uses Satan’s Power. Such Blasphemy of The Spirit Will Not Be Forgiven

20 And He goes into a house[g]. And the crowd comes-together again, so that they were not even able to eat bread. 21 And having heard-of it, the ones[h] from Him went-forth to take-hold-of [i] Him. For they were saying[j] that “He lost-His-senses”. 22 And the scribes having come down from Jerusalem were saying that “He has Beelzebul”, and that “He is casting-out the demons by[k] the ruler of the demons”. 23 And having summoned them, He was speaking to them in parables: “How is Satan able to be casting-out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand; 25 and if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan stood-up against himself and was divided, he is not able to stand, but he has an end[l]. 27 But no one, having entered into the house of the strong man, can plunder his things unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder[m] his house. 28 Truly I say to you that all sins and blasphemies will be forgiven to the sons of humans[n], whatever they may blaspheme. 29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit does not have forgiveness forever, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— 30 because[o] they were saying “He has an unclean spirit”.

Whoever Does The Will of God Is My Family

31 And His mother and His brothers come. And while standing outside, they sent-forth a message to Him, calling Him. 32 And a crowd was sitting around Him. And they say to Him, “Behold— Your mother and Your brothers and Your sisters are outside seeking You”. 33 And having responded to them, He says “Who is My mother and My brothers?” 34 And having looked-around-at the ones sitting in a circle around Him, He says “Look— My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God— this one is My brother and sister and mother”.

23 But He called them to Him, and said to them in parables, “How can Satan drive out Satan?

24 “For if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

25 “Or if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot continue.

26 “So if Satan opposes himself, and is divided, he cannot endure, but is at an end.

27 “No one can enter into a strong man’s house, and take away his goods, except that he first bind that strong man, and then rob his house.

28 “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the children of man, and blasphemies with which they blaspheme.

29 “But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Ghost, shall never have forgiveness; but is culpable of eternal damnation.”
