15 And it *[a]happened that as He was reclining at the table in his house, many tax collectors and [b]sinners [c]were reclining with Jesus and His disciples. For there were many of them, and they were following Him. 16 And when (A)the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they were saying to His disciples, “(B)He is eating and drinking with tax collectors and [d]sinners!” 17 And hearing this, Jesus *said to them, “(C)Those who are healthy do not have need for a physician, but only those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

15 And it came to pass, that he was sitting at meat in his house, and many [a]publicans and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. 16 And the scribes [b]of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and [c]publicans, said unto his disciples, [d]How is it that he eateth [e]and drinketh with [f]publicans and sinners? 17 And when Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are [g]whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
