⁶ Now some of the scribes were sitting there questioning in their hearts,

²¹ Then the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, “Who is this who is speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”^{(A) 22} When Jesus perceived their questionings, he answered them, “Why do you raise such questions in your hearts?

¹⁷ And becoming aware of it, Jesus said to them, “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?^(A)

⁵ and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.^(A)

⁷ They said to one another, “It is because we have brought no bread.” ⁸ And becoming aware of it, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you talking about having no bread?^(A)
