⁵ When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”^(A)

² Some men brought to him a paralyzed man,^(A) lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith,^(B) he said to the man, “Take heart,^(C) son; your sins are forgiven.”^(D)

¹⁵ And the prayer offered in faith^(A) will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

⁹ Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? ¹⁰ But I want you to know that the Son of Man^(A) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man,

²² Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart,^(A) daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”^(B) And the woman was healed at that moment.^(C)

⁸ For it is by grace^(A) you have been saved,^(B) through faith^(C)—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

⁴⁷ Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”^(A)

⁴⁹ The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

⁵⁰ Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you;^(B) go in peace.”^(C)

¹⁴ Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning^(A) or something worse may happen to you.”

²⁰ When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”^(A)

¹⁸ But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
