⁵ When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

^2 (A)Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. ^(B)When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. ^(A)And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

^8 (A)For by grace you have been saved ^(B)through faith, and that not of yourselves; ^(C)it is the gift of God,

^9 (A)Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? ¹⁰ But that you may know that the Son of Man has ^[a]power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,

²² But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; ^(A)your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

¹⁸ But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” ^(A)Show me your faith without ^[a]your works, ^(B)and I will show you my faith by ^[b]my works. ¹⁹ You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! ²⁰ But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is ^[c]dead? ²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works ^(C)when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? ²² Do you see ^(D)that faith was working together with his works, and by ^(E)works faith was made ^[d]perfect?

⁹ This man heard Paul speaking. ^[a]Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

^31 (A)Him God has exalted to His right hand to be ^(B)Prince and ^(C)Savior, ^(D)to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
