2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them. 3 (A)And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, (B)they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

2 They gathered in such large numbers(A) that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man,(B) carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.
