8 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, ^(A)one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, ² a minister in the holy places, in ^(B)the true tent^[a] that the Lord ^(C)set up, not man.

¹¹ And every priest stands ^(A)daily at his service, ^(B)offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, ^(C)which can never take away sins. ¹² But when Christ^[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he ^(D)sat down at the right hand of God, ¹³ waiting from that time ^(E)until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. ¹⁴ For by a single offering ^(F)he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and ^(A)sin which clings so closely, and ^(B)let us run ^(C)with endurance the race that is ^(D)set before us, ² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^(E)who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^(F)the shame, and ^(G)is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
