^5 (A)And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord

^11 (A)But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. ¹² And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

⁸ Then the ^(A)other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed.

^3 (A)Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it happened, as they were ^[a]greatly perplexed about this, that ^(B)behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. ⁵ Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

^3 (A)His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

²⁹ But ^[a]when she saw him, ^(A)she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. ³⁰ Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found ^(B)favor with God.

¹² And when Zacharias saw him, ^(A)he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

¹⁵ Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him.

⁴⁹ And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ^(A)ghost, and cried out; ⁵⁰ for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, ^(B)“Be^[a] of good cheer! It is I; do not be ^(C)afraid.”

¹² Then he said to me, ^(A)“Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, ^(B)your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
