¹⁹ After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven^(A) and he sat at the right hand of God.^(B)

²² who has gone into heaven^(A) and is at God’s right hand^(B)—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.^(C)

² fixing our eyes on Jesus,^(A) the pioneer^(B) and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,^(C) scorning its shame,^(D) and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.^(E)

³ The Son is the radiance of God’s glory^(A) and the exact representation of his being,^(B) sustaining all things^(C) by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,^(D) he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.^(E)

The High Priest of a New Covenant

8 Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest,^(A) who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,^(B)

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ

3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,^(A) set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.^(B)

³⁴ Who then is the one who condemns?^(A) No one. Christ Jesus who died^(B)—more than that, who was raised to life^(C)—is at the right hand of God^(D) and is also interceding for us.^(E)

² until the day he was taken up to heaven,^(A) after giving instructions^(B) through the Holy Spirit to the apostles^(C) he had chosen.^{(D) 3} After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them^(E) over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.^(F)
