⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a rebel?

⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple police, and the elders who had come for him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as though I were a rebel?^{(A) 53} When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour and the power of darkness!”^(B)

¹⁸ And he added, “Why does my lord pursue his servant? For what have I done? What guilt is on my hands?^(A)

¹⁴ Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A single flea?^{(A) 15} May the Lord, therefore, be judge and give sentence between me and you. May he see to it and plead my cause and vindicate me against you.”^(B)

⁵⁵ At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a rebel? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me.
