⁴⁸ And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me?

⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests and ^(A)officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? ⁵³ When ^(B)I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is ^(C)your hour, and ^(D)the power of darkness.”

¹⁸ And he said, ^(A)“Why does my lord pursue after his servant? For what have I done? What evil is on my hands?

¹⁴ After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? ^(A)After a dead dog! ^(B)After a flea! ^15 (C)May the Lord therefore be judge and give sentence between me and you, and see to it and ^(D)plead my cause and deliver me from your hand.”

⁵⁵ At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day ^(A)I sat in the temple ^(B)teaching, and you did not seize me.
