⁸ The grass withers, the flower fades,

And look on the earth beneath.
For ^(B)the heavens will vanish away like smoke,
^(C)The earth will grow old like a garment,
And those who dwell in it will die in like manner;
But My salvation will be ^(D)forever,
And My righteousness will not be ^[a]abolished.

^25 (A)Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
^26 (B)They will perish, but You will ^[a]endure;
Yes, they will all grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak You will change them,
And they will be changed.
²⁷ But ^(C)You are the same,
And Your years will have no end.
