3 And while He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately, 4 “Tell us— when will these[a] things happen? And what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished[b]?” 5 And Jesus began to say to them:
There Will Be Birthpangs, So Watch Out. The Gospel Must First Reach All The Nations
“Be watching out that no one may deceive you. 6 Many will come on the basis of My name, saying that ‘I am[c] the One’. And they will deceive many. 7 And whenever you hear-of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. They must take place, but it is not yet the end. 8 For nation will arise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines. These things are[d] a beginning of birth-pains.
