² And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? ^(A)There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

⁶ “As for these things that you see, ^(A)the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

² But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, ^(A)there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

¹⁸ “Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and said to all the people of Judah: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts,

^20 (A)then I will pluck you^[a] up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it ^(B)a proverb and a byword among all peoples. ²¹ And at this house, which was exalted, everyone passing by will be astonished and say, ^(C)‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

^7 (A)then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, ^(B)and the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, ^(C)and Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. ⁸ And this house will become a heap of ruins.^[a] Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, ^(D)‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

² but do not measure ^(A)the court outside the temple; leave that out, for ^(B)it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for ^(C)forty-two months.

¹⁴ for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth ^(A)will destroy this place and will ^(B)change ^(C)the customs that Moses delivered to us.”
