³¹ And the second, like it, is this: ^(A)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than ^(B)these.”

Love Your Neighbor^(A)

⁸ Owe no one anything except to love one another, for ^(B)he who loves another has fulfilled the law. ⁹ For the commandments, ^(C)“You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” ^[a]“You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, ^(D)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

³⁹ And the second is like it: ^(A)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

²⁷ So he answered and said, ^(A)“ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ^(B)‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

^18 (A)You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, ^(B)but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

^4 (A)Love suffers long and is ^(B)kind; love ^(C)does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not ^[a]puffed up; ⁵ does not behave rudely, ^(D)does not seek its own, is not provoked, ^[b]thinks no evil; ^6 (E)does not rejoice in iniquity, but ^(F)rejoices in the truth; ^7 (G)bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁸ Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

¹² Therefore, ^(A)whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for ^(B)this is the Law and the Prophets.

²¹ And ^(A)this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

¹⁴ For ^(A)all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ^(B)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
