¹⁶ So they brought it.

And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

¹² He who overcomes, I will make him ^(A)a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall ^(B)go out no more. ^(C)I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the ^(D)New Jerusalem, which ^(E)comes down out of heaven from My God. ^(F)And I will write on him My new name.

¹⁹ Nevertheless ^(A)the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord ^(B)knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of ^[a]Christ depart from iniquity.”

²⁴ Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?”

They answered and said, “Caesar’s.”

²⁵ And He said to them, ^(A)“Render^[a] therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

²⁶ But they could not catch Him in His words in the presence of the people. And they marveled at His answer and kept silent.

¹⁹ Show Me the tax money.”

So they brought Him a denarius.

²⁰ And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”

²¹ They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

And He said to them, ^(A)“Render^[a] therefore to Caesar the things that are ^(B)Caesar’s, and to God the things that are ^(C)God’s.” ²² When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.
