³⁸ But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”^(A)

⁵⁰ I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what constraint I am under until it is completed!^(A)

¹¹ Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath. Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?”^(A)

²¹ And he said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Declare that these two sons of mine will sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom.”^{(A) 22} But Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?”^[a] They said to him, “We are able.”^(B)

³ You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, in order to spend what you get on your pleasures.^(A)

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes^[a] with groanings too deep for words.^(A)

⁴² “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me, yet not my will but yours be done.”^(A)

³⁶ He said, “Abba,^[a] Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me, yet not what I want but what you want.”^(A)
