¹⁴ When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.^(A)

¹⁵ Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”^(A)

²³ Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich^(A) to enter the kingdom of God!”

²⁴ The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is^[a] to enter the kingdom of God!^(A)
