42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

43 Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone.(A) But go, show yourself to the priest(B) and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing,(C) as a testimony to them.”

41 He took her by the hand(A) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).(B) 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this,(C) and told them to give her something to eat.

33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit(A) and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven(B) and with a deep sigh(C) said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.(D)

36 Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone.(E) But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it.

23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit(A) on the man’s eyes and put his hands on(B) him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”

24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”

25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into[a] the village.”
