¹⁸ And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

²⁸ And Peter said, “See, ^(A)we have left our homes and followed you.” ²⁹ And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, ^(B)there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers^[a] or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who will not receive ^(C)many times more ^(D)in this time, and in ^(E)the age to come eternal life.”

^33 (A)So therefore, any one of you who ^(B)does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

¹¹ And when they had brought their boats to land, ^(A)they left everything and followed him.

²⁸ Peter began to say to him, “See, ^(A)we have left everything and followed you.” ²⁹ Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, ^(B)there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and ^(C)for the gospel, ³⁰ who will not receive a hundredfold ^(D)now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, ^(E)with persecutions, and in ^(F)the age to come eternal life. ³¹ But ^(G)many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

²⁷ Then Peter said in reply, “See, ^(A)we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?” ²⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world,^{[a] (B)}when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me ^(C)will also sit on twelve thrones, ^(D)judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ^29 (E)And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold^[b] and will ^(F)inherit eternal life. ³⁰ But ^(G)many who are ^(H)first will be last, and the last first.

⁸ Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^(A)the surpassing worth of ^(B)knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^(C)have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
