3 Öðru sinni gekk hann í samkunduhús. Þar var maður með visna hönd,
2 og höfðu þeir nánar gætur á Jesú, hvort hann læknaði hann á hvíldardegi. Þeir hugðust kæra hann.
3 Og Jesús segir við manninn með visnu höndina: "Statt upp og kom hér fram!"
4 Síðan spyr hann þá: "Hvort er heldur leyfilegt að gjöra gott eða gjöra illt á hvíldardegi, bjarga lífi eða deyða?" En þeir þögðu.
5 Og hann leit í kring á þá með reiði, sárhryggur yfir harðúð hjartna þeirra, og sagði við manninn: "Réttu fram hönd þína." Hann rétti fram höndina, og hún varð heil.
6 Þá gengu farísearnir út og tóku þegar með Heródesarsinnum saman ráð sín gegn honum, hvernig þeir gætu náð lífi hans.
7 Jesús fór með lærisveinum sínum út að vatninu, og fylgdi mikill fjöldi úr Galíleu og úr Júdeu,
8 frá Jerúsalem, Ídúmeu, landinu handan Jórdanar, og úr byggðum Týrusar og Sídonar kom til hans fjöldi manna, er heyrt höfðu, hve mikið hann gjörði.
9 Og hann bauð lærisveinum sínum að hafa til bát fyrir sig, svo að mannfjöldinn þrengdi eigi að honum.
10 En marga hafði hann læknað, og því þustu að honum allir þeir, sem einhver mein höfðu, til að snerta hann.
11 Og hvenær sem óhreinir andar sáu hann, féllu þeir fram fyrir honum og æptu upp: "Þú ert sonur Guðs."
12 En hann lagði ríkt á við þá, að þeir gjörðu hann eigi kunnan.
13 Síðan fór hann til fjalls og kallaði til sín þá er hann sjálfur vildi, og þeir komu til hans.
14 Hann skipaði tólf, er skyldu vera með honum og hann gæti sent út að prédika,
15 með valdi að reka út illa anda.
16 Hann skipaði þá tólf: Símon, er hann gaf nafnið Pétur,
17 Jakob Sebedeusson og Jóhannes bróður hans, en þeim gaf hann nafnið Boanerges, sem þýðir þrumusynir,
18 og Andrés, Filippus og Bartólómeus, Matteus og Tómas, Jakob Alfeusson, Taddeus og Símon vandlætara
19 og Júdas Ískaríot, þann er sveik hann.
20 Þegar hann kemur heim, safnast þar aftur mannfjöldi, svo þeir gátu ekki einu sinni matast.
21 Hans nánustu fréttu það og fóru út og vildu ná honum, enda sögðu þeir, að hann væri frá sér.
22 Og fræðimennirnir, er komnir voru ofan frá Jerúsalem, sögðu: "Beelsebúl er í honum. Með fulltingi höfðingja illra anda rekur hann út illu andana."
23 En Jesús kallaði þá til sín og mælti við þá í líkingum: "Hvernig getur Satan rekið Satan út?
24 Verði ríki sjálfu sér sundurþykkt, fær það ríki eigi staðist,
25 og verði heimili sjálfu sér sundurþykkt, fær það heimili eigi staðist.
26 Sé nú Satan risinn gegn sjálfum sér og orðinn sér sundurþykkur, fær hann ekki staðist, þá er úti um hann.
27 Enginn getur brotist inn í hús hins sterka og rænt föngum hans, nema hann bindi áður hinn sterka, þá getur hann rænt hús hans.
28 Sannlega segi ég yður: Allt verður mannanna börnum fyrirgefið, allar syndir þeirra og lastmælin, hve mjög sem þeir kunna að lastmæla,
29 en sá sem lastmælir gegn heilögum anda, fær eigi fyrirgefningu um aldur, hann er sekur um eilífa synd."
30 En þeir höfðu sagt: "Óhreinn andi er í honum."
31 Nú koma móðir hans og bræður, standa úti og gera honum orð að koma.
32 Mikill fjöldi sat í kringum hann, og var honum sagt: "Móðir þín, bræður og systur eru hér úti og spyrja eftir þér."
33 Hann svarar þeim: "Hver er móðir mín og bræður?"
34 Og hann leit á þá, er kringum hann sátu, og segir: "Hér er móðir mín og bræður mínir!
35 Hver, sem gjörir vilja Guðs, sá er bróðir minn, systir og móðir."

3 En otra ocasión entró en la sinagoga y había allí un hombre que tenía la mano paralizada. 2 Algunos que buscaban un motivo para acusar a Jesús no le quitaban la vista de encima para ver si sanaba al enfermo en día sábado. 3 Entonces Jesús dijo al hombre de la mano paralizada:
—Ponte de pie frente a todos.
4 Luego dijo a los otros:
—¿Qué está permitido en sábado: hacer el bien o hacer el mal?, ¿salvar una vida o matar?
Pero ellos permanecieron callados. 5 Jesús se les quedó mirando, enojado y entristecido por lo obstinados que eran,[a] y dijo al hombre:
—Extiende la mano.
Así que la extendió y la mano quedó restablecida. 6 Tan pronto como salieron los fariseos, comenzaron a tramar con los partidarios del rey Herodes cómo matar a Jesús.

7 Jesús se retiró al lago con sus discípulos, y mucha gente de Galilea y Judea lo siguió. 8 Cuando se enteraron de todo lo que hacía, acudieron también a él muchos de Jerusalén, de Idumea, del otro lado del Jordán y de las regiones de Tiro y Sidón. 9 Entonces, para evitar que la gente lo atropellara, encargó a sus discípulos que tuvieran preparada una pequeña barca; 10 pues, como había sanado a muchos, todos los que sufrían dolencias se abalanzaban sobre él para tocarlo. 11 Además, los espíritus malignos, al verlo, se postraban ante él, gritando: «¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!». 12 Pero él les ordenó terminantemente que no dijeran quién era él.
Nombramiento de los doce apóstoles(B)
13 Subió Jesús a una montaña y llamó a los que quiso, los cuales se reunieron con él. 14 Designó a doce, a quienes nombró apóstoles,[b] para que lo acompañaran y para enviarlos a predicar 15 y ejercer autoridad para expulsar demonios.
16 Estos son los doce que él nombró:
Simón (a quien llamó Pedro);
17 Santiago y su hermano Juan, hijos de Zebedeo (a quienes llamó Boanerges, que significa «Hijos del trueno»);
18 Andrés,
Felipe,
Bartolomé,
Mateo,
Tomás,
Santiago, hijo de Alfeo,
Tadeo,
Simón el Zelote
19 y Judas Iscariote, el que lo traicionó.
Jesús y Beelzebú(C)
20 Luego entró en una casa y, de nuevo, se aglomeró tanta gente que ni siquiera podían comer él y sus discípulos. 21 Cuando se enteraron sus parientes, salieron a hacerse cargo de él, porque decían: «Está fuera de sí».
22 Los maestros de la Ley que habían llegado de Jerusalén decían: «¡Está poseído por Beelzebú! Expulsa a los demonios por medio del príncipe de los demonios».
23 Entonces Jesús los llamó y les habló en parábolas: «¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás? 24 Si un reino está dividido contra sí mismo, ese reino no puede mantenerse en pie. 25 Y si una familia está dividida contra sí misma, esa familia no puede mantenerse en pie. 26 Igualmente, si Satanás se levanta contra sí mismo y se divide, no puede mantenerse en pie, sino que ha llegado su fin. 27 Ahora bien, nadie puede entrar en la casa de alguien fuerte y arrebatarle sus bienes a menos que primero lo ate. Solo entonces podrá robar su casa. 28 Les aseguro que todos los pecados y blasfemias se les perdonarán a todos por igual, 29 excepto a quien blasfeme contra el Espíritu Santo. Este no tendrá perdón jamás; es culpable de un pecado eterno».
30 Es que ellos habían dicho: «Tiene un espíritu maligno».

31 En eso llegaron la madre y los hermanos de Jesús. Se quedaron afuera y enviaron a alguien a llamarlo, 32 pues había mucha gente sentada alrededor de él.
—Mira, tu madre y tus hermanos[c] están afuera y te buscan —dijeron.
33 —¿Quiénes son mi madre y mis hermanos? —respondió Jesús.
34 Luego echó una mirada a los que estaban sentados alrededor de él y añadió:
—Aquí tienen a mi madre y a mis hermanos. 35 Cualquiera que hace la voluntad de Dios es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.

2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;
17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
