Warnings About Discipleship

^38 (A)John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and ^(B)we tried to hinder him because he was not following us.”

The Joyful Results

¹⁷ Now the ^[a]seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even ^(A)the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

¹⁶ Also the multitude from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together, bringing people who were sick ^[a]or afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.

⁷ For in the case of many who had ^(A)unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been ^(B)paralyzed and lame were healed.

¹⁸ And she continued doing this for many days. But being greatly annoyed, Paul turned and said to the spirit, “I command you ^(A)in the name of Jesus Christ to leave her!” And it left at that very ^[a]moment.

^12 (A)so that cloths or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and ^(B)the evil spirits went out.
