34 Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them, “If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself,(A) take up his cross,(B) and follow Me.(C) 35 For whoever wants to save(D) his life will lose it,(E) but whoever loses(F) his life(G) because of Me(H) and the gospel(I) will save it.(J) 36 For what does it benefit(K) a man to gain(L) the whole world(M) yet lose(N) his life?(O)

The Way of the Cross
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.(A) 35 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.(B) 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
