35 While He was still speaking, people came from the synagogue leader’s house and said, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher(A) anymore?”
36 But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid.(B) Only believe.” 37 He did not let anyone accompany Him except Peter,(C) James,(D) and John,(E) James’s brother.

35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(A) “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[a] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(B)
