Mark 3:19
New International Version
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
Mark 14:3-11
New International Version
3 While he was in Bethany,(A) reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.(B)
4 Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? 5 It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages[a] and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.
6 “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 The poor you will always have with you,[b] and you can help them any time you want.(C) But you will not always have me. 8 She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.(D) 9 Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world,(E) what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”
10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve,(F) went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.(G) 11 They were delighted to hear this and promised to give him money. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over.
Mark 14:43-49
New International Version
Jesus Arrested(A)
43 Just as he was speaking, Judas,(B) one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.
44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.” 45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!”(C) and kissed him. 46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him. 47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
48 “Am I leading a rebellion,” said Jesus, “that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? 49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts,(D) and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”(E)
