Jesus Heals a Paralytic
2 When he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. 2 So many gathered around that there was no longer room for them, not even in front of the door; and he was speaking the word to them. 3 Then some people[a] came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 And when they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and after having dug through it, they let down the mat on which the paralytic lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 At once Jesus perceived in his spirit that they were discussing these questions among themselves; and he said to them, “Why do you raise such questions in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and take your mat and walk’? 10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, stand up, take your mat and go to your home.” 12 And he stood up, and immediately took the mat and went out before all of them; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
Jesus Calls Levi
13 Jesus[b] went out again beside the sea; the whole crowd gathered around him, and he taught them. 14 As he was walking along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.
15 And as he sat at dinner[c] in Levi’s[d] house, many tax collectors and sinners were also sitting[e] with Jesus and his disciples—for there were many who followed him. 16 When the scribes of[f] the Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, “Why does he eat[g] with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 When Jesus heard this, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.”
The Question about Fasting
18 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and people[h] came and said to him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?” 19 Jesus said to them, “The wedding guests cannot fast while the bridegroom is with them, can they? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. 20 The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast on that day.
21 “No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old cloak; otherwise, the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and so are the skins; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.”[i]
Pronouncement about the Sabbath
23 One sabbath he was going through the grainfields; and as they made their way his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. 24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?” 25 And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need of food? 26 He entered the house of God, when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and he gave some to his companions.” 27 Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the sabbath; 28 so the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.”

3 E vennero a lui alcuni con un paralitico portato da quattro uomini. 4 Non potendo farlo giungere[a] fino a lui a causa della folla, scoperchiarono il tetto dalla parte dov’era Gesù; e, fattavi un’apertura, calarono il lettuccio sul quale giaceva il paralitico. 5 Gesù, veduta la loro fede, disse al paralitico: «Figliolo, i tuoi peccati [ti] sono perdonati». 6 Erano seduti là alcuni scribi e ragionavano così in cuor loro: 7 «Perché costui parla in questa maniera? Chiamata di Levi
13 (B)Gesù uscì di nuovo verso il mare; e tutta la gente andava da lui, ed egli insegnava loro. 14 E passando vide Levi, figlio d’Alfeo, seduto al banco delle imposte e gli disse: «Seguimi». Ed egli, alzatosi, lo seguì.
15 (C)Mentre Gesù era a tavola in casa di lui, molti pubblicani e peccatori erano anch’essi a tavola con lui e con i suoi discepoli; poiché ce n’erano molti che lo seguivano. 16 Gli scribi che erano tra i farisei[e], vedutolo mangiare con i pubblicani e con i peccatori, dicevano ai suoi discepoli: «Come mai mangia [e beve] con i pubblicani e i peccatori?» 17 Gesù, udito questo, disse loro: «Non sono i sani che hanno bisogno del medico, ma i malati. Io non sono venuto a chiamare dei giusti, ma dei peccatori [a ravvedimento]».
Il digiuno; parabola della stoffa nuova e degli otri nuovi
18 (D)I discepoli di Giovanni e i farisei[f] erano soliti digiunare[g]. Alcuni andarono da Gesù e gli dissero: «Perché i discepoli di Giovanni e i discepoli dei farisei[h] digiunano e i tuoi discepoli non digiunano?» 19 Gesù disse loro: «Possono gli amici dello sposo[i] digiunare mentre lo sposo è con loro? Finché hanno con sé lo sposo, non possono digiunare. 20 Ma verranno i giorni in cui lo sposo sarà loro tolto; e allora, in quei giorni[j], digiuneranno. 21 Nessuno cuce un pezzo di stoffa nuova sopra un vestito vecchio, altrimenti la toppa nuova porta via il vecchio e lo strappo si fa peggiore. 22 Nessuno mette vino nuovo in otri vecchi, altrimenti il vino [nuovo] fa scoppiare gli otri, e il vino si perde insieme con gli otri[k]; ma il vino nuovo [va messo] in otri nuovi».
Gesù, Signore del sabato
23 (E)In un giorno di sabato egli passava per i campi, e i suoi discepoli, strada facendo, si misero a strappare delle spighe. 24 I farisei gli dissero: «Guarda! Perché fanno di sabato quel che non è lecito?» 25 Ed egli disse loro: «Non avete mai letto quel che fece Davide, quando fu nel bisogno ed ebbe fame, egli e coloro che erano con lui? 26 Com’egli, al tempo del sommo sacerdote Abiatar, entrò nella casa di Dio e mangiò i pani di presentazione, che a nessuno è lecito mangiare se non ai sacerdoti, e ne diede anche a quelli che erano con lui?» 27 Poi disse loro: «Il sabato è stato fatto per l’uomo e non l’uomo per il sabato; 28 perciò il Figlio dell’uomo è signore anche del sabato».

Die Heilung eines Gelähmten
2 Und nach etlichen Tagen ging er wieder nach Kapernaum; und als man hörte, dass er im Haus sei,
2 da versammelten sich sogleich viele, sodass kein Platz mehr war, auch nicht draußen bei der Tür; und er verkündigte ihnen das Wort.
3 Und etliche kamen zu ihm und brachten einen Gelähmten, der von vier Leuten getragen wurde.
4 Und da sie wegen der Menge nicht zu ihm herankommen konnten, deckten sie dort, wo er war, das Dach ab,[a] und nachdem sie es aufgebrochen hatten, ließen sie die Liegematte[b] herab, auf welcher der Gelähmte lag.
5 Als aber Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sprach er zu dem Gelähmten: Sohn, deine Sünden sind dir vergeben!
6 Es saßen aber dort etliche von den Schriftgelehrten, die dachten in ihren Herzen:
7 Was redet dieser solche Lästerung? Wer kann Sünden vergeben als nur Gott allein?
8 Und sogleich erkannte Jesus in seinem Geist, dass sie so bei sich dachten, und sprach zu ihnen: Warum denkt ihr dies in euren Herzen?
9 Was ist leichter, zu dem Gelähmten zu sagen: Dir sind die Sünden vergeben!, oder zu sagen: Steh auf und nimm deine Liegematte und geh umher?
10 Damit ihr aber wisst, dass der Sohn des Menschen[c] Vollmacht hat, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben — sprach er zu dem Gelähmten:
11 Ich sage dir, steh auf und nimm deine Liegematte und geh heim!
12 Und er stand sogleich auf, nahm seine Liegematte und ging vor aller Augen hinaus, sodass sie alle erstaunten, Gott priesen und sprachen: So etwas haben wir noch nie gesehen!
Die Berufung des Levi
13 Da ging er wieder an den See hinaus, und die ganze Menge kam zu ihm, und er lehrte sie.
14 Und als er vorüberging, sah er Levi, den Sohn des Alphäus, an der Zollstätte sitzen. Und er sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach! Und er stand auf und folgte ihm.
15 Und es geschah, als er in dessen Haus zu Tisch saß, dass auch viele Zöllner und Sünder sich mit Jesus und seinen Jüngern zu Tisch setzten, denn es waren viele, die ihm nachfolgten.
16 Und als die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer sahen, dass er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern aß, sprachen sie zu seinen Jüngern: Warum isst und trinkt er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern?
17 Als Jesus es hörte, sprach er zu ihnen: Nicht die Starken brauchen den Arzt, sondern die Kranken. Ich bin nicht gekommen, Gerechte zu berufen, sondern Sünder zur Buße.
Vom Fasten. Gleichnisse vom neuen Flicken und vom neuen Wein
18 Und die Jünger des Johannes und die der Pharisäer pflegten zu fasten; und sie kamen zu ihm und fragten: Warum fasten die Jünger des Johannes und der Pharisäer, deine Jünger aber fasten nicht?
19 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Können die Hochzeitsgäste fasten, solange der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist? Solange sie den Bräutigam bei sich haben, können sie nicht fasten.
20 Es werden aber Tage kommen, da der Bräutigam von ihnen genommen sein wird, und dann, in jenen Tagen, werden sie fasten.
21 Und niemand näht einen Lappen von neuem Tuch auf ein altes Kleid; sonst löst sein neuer Flicken sich ab vom alten, und der Riss wird schlimmer.
22 Und niemand füllt neuen Wein in alte Schläuche, sonst zerreißt der neue Wein die Schläuche, und der Wein wird verschüttet und die Schläuche verderben; sondern neuer Wein soll in neue Schläuche gefüllt werden.
Jesus ist Herr über den Sabbat
23 Und es begab sich, dass er am Sabbat durch die Kornfelder ging. Und seine Jünger fingen an, auf dem Weg die Ähren abzustreifen.
24 Da sprachen die Pharisäer zu ihm: Sieh doch, warum tun sie am Sabbat, was nicht erlaubt ist?
25 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr nie gelesen, was David tat, als er Mangel litt und er und seine Gefährten Hunger hatten,
26 wie er zur Zeit des Hohenpriesters Abjatar in das Haus Gottes hineinging und die Schaubrote aß, die niemand essen darf als nur die Priester, und auch denen davon gab, die bei ihm waren?
27 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Der Sabbat wurde um des Menschen willen geschaffen, nicht der Mensch um des Sabbats willen.
28 Also ist der Sohn des Menschen Herr auch über den Sabbat.

Jézus meggyógyít egy béna férfit(A)
2 Néhány nappal később Jézus visszatért Kapernaumba, s ennek hamar elterjedt a híre. 2 Olyan sokan gyűltek össze annál a háznál, ahol volt, hogy már az ajtó előtt sem fértek el. Éppen Isten üzenetét hirdette, amikor 3 négy férfi érkezett, akik egy megbénult beteget hoztak. 4 Mivel a tömeg miatt nem tudták a beteget a közelébe vinni, kibontották a tetőt, és a nyíláson engedték le a hordágyon fekvőt Jézus lába elé. 5 A négy férfi hitét látva, Jézus a beteghez fordult és ezt mondta neki: „Fiam, a bűneid meg vannak bocsátva.”
6 Volt ott néhány törvénytanító is, akik ezt gondolták: 7 „Hogyan mondhat ilyet?! Hiszen a bűnöket egyedül Isten bocsáthatja meg! Ezzel Istent gyalázza!”
8 Jézus a szellemével azonnal észrevette, hogy ezt gondolják. Ezért megkérdezte tőlük: „Miért okoskodtok így? 9 Melyik könnyebb, ha azt mondom a bénának: »A bűneid meg vannak bocsátva«, vagy azt: »Kelj fel, fogd a hordágyadat és menj el«? 10 Győződjetek meg róla: az Emberfia felhatalmazást kapott, hogy itt a földön megbocsássa a bűnöket.”
Ekkor a beteghez fordult: 11 „Én mondom neked, kelj fel, fogd a hordágyadat, és menj haza!” 12 A férfi felkelt, azonnal felvette a hordágyat, és mindenki szeme láttára elment. Mindnyájan elcsodálkoztak, dicsőítették Istent, és ezt mondták: „Ilyet még sohasem láttunk!”
Lévi (Máté) elhívása(B)
13 Jézus ezután ismét kiment a tó partjára. Rengetegen gyűltek össze körülötte, ő pedig tanította őket. 14 Amikor onnan továbbment, meglátta Lévit, Alfeus fiát, aki a vámszedő helyen ült. „Kövess engem!” — mondta neki. Lévi ekkor felkelt, és csatlakozott hozzá.
15 Később Lévi vendégül látta Jézust és tanítványait a házában. Más vendégek is voltak ott, akikkel együtt vacsoráztak: vámszedők és mindenféle rosszhírű bűnösök, mert sokan mentek oda Jézussal együtt. 16 A farizeusok közül néhány törvénytanító látta, hogy Jézus együtt eszik a bűnösökkel és a vámszedőkkel. Megkérdezték hát a tanítványait: „Hogy lehet az, hogy ő vámszedőkkel és mindenféle bűnösökkel együtt vacsorázik?!”
17 Jézus meghallotta, és ő válaszolt nekik: „Nem az egészségeseknek van szükségük orvosra, hanem a betegeknek. Nem azért jöttem, hogy az igazakat, hanem hogy a bűnösöket hívjam.”
Az új bort új tömlőbe kell tölteni(C)
18 Bemerítő János tanítványai és a farizeusok rendszeresen böjtöltek. Közülük néhányan eljöttek Jézushoz, és megkérdezték: „Bemerítő János tanítványai és a farizeusok tanítványai is böjtölnek. A te tanítványaid miért nem?”
19 Ő ezt válaszolta: „Vajon böjtölnek-e a lakodalomban a vendégek, amíg velük van a vőlegény? Ugye, nem? 20 De eljön az idő, amikor a vőlegényt elviszik tőlük. Akkor majd ők is böjtölni fognak.”
21 „Senki sem varr régi ruhára új szövetből foltot, mert az új csak tovább szakítaná a régit. Az új ugyanis elválik a régitől, és még nagyobb lesz a szakadás! 22 Senki sem tölt új bort régi bortömlőkbe,[a] mert az új bor szétszakítja a tömlőket, amelyek így tönkremennek, ráadásul a bor is kiömlik. Az új bort új tömlőkbe kell tölteni.”

23 Egyszer Jézus és tanítványai egy gabonaföldön mentek keresztül. Éppen szombat volt. A tanítványok útközben letéptek néhány kalászt. 24 Emiatt a farizeusok kérdőre vonták Jézust: „Nézd csak, mit csinálnak a tanítványaid! Miért tesznek olyat, amit a Törvény szerint szombaton nem szabad?”
25 Jézus ezt válaszolta: „Sohasem olvastátok, hogy mit tett Dávid, amikor az embereivel együtt megéhezett, de nem volt semmi ennivalójuk? 26 Isten házához érkeztek, ahol abban az időben Abjátár volt a főpap. Dávid akkor evett az Isten elé helyezett szent kenyerekből, amelyekből a Törvény szerint csakis a papok ehettek, sőt, még azoknak is adott belőle, akik vele voltak!”
27 Végül ezt mondta: „A szombat ünnepe van az emberért, és nem az ember a szombatért. 28 Így hát az Emberfia úr a szombat ünnepe fölött is”.

2 Quelques jours plus tard, Jésus se rendit de nouveau à Capernaüm. On apprit qu’il était à la maison[a]. 2 Une foule s’y rassembla si nombreuse qu’il ne restait plus de place, pas même devant la porte ; et Jésus leur annonçait la Parole de Dieu. 3 On lui amena un paralysé porté par quatre hommes. 4 Mais ils ne purent pas le transporter jusqu’à Jésus, à cause de la foule. Alors ils montèrent sur le toit, défirent la toiture de la maison au-dessus de l’endroit où se trouvait Jésus et, par cette ouverture, firent glisser le brancard sur lequel le paralysé était couché[b].
5 Lorsqu’il vit la foi de ces gens, Jésus dit au paralysé : Mon enfant, tes péchés te sont pardonnés.
6 Or, il y avait, assis là, quelques spécialistes de la Loi qui raisonnaient ainsi en eux-mêmes : 7 Comment cet homme ose-t-il parler ainsi ? Il blasphème ! Qui peut pardonner les péchés si ce n’est Dieu seul ?
8 Jésus sut aussitôt, en son esprit, les raisonnements qu’ils se faisaient en eux-mêmes ; il leur dit : Pourquoi raisonnez-vous ainsi en vous-mêmes ? 9 Qu’est-ce qui est le plus facile ? Dire au paralysé : « Tes péchés te sont pardonnés », ou dire : « Lève-toi, prends ton brancard et marche » ? 10 Eh bien, vous saurez que le Fils de l’homme a, sur la terre, le pouvoir de pardonner les péchés.
11 Alors il déclara au paralysé : Je te l’ordonne : lève-toi, prends ton brancard, et rentre chez toi !
12 Aussitôt, cet homme se leva, prit son brancard, et sortit devant tout le monde.
Tous en furent stupéfaits et rendirent gloire à Dieu en disant : Nous n’avons jamais rien vu de pareil !
Jésus est contesté(B)
13 Une nouvelle fois, Jésus s’en alla du côté du lac. Les foules venaient à sa rencontre et il les enseignait. 14 En passant, il vit Lévi, fils d’Alphée, installé à son poste de péage, et il lui dit : Suis-moi !
Lévi se leva et le suivit.
15 Comme Jésus était reçu pour un repas dans la maison de Lévi, beaucoup de collecteurs d’impôts et de pécheurs notoires prirent place à table avec ses disciples et avec lui. Car ils étaient nombreux à le suivre.
16 En voyant qu’il mangeait avec ces pécheurs notoires et ces collecteurs d’impôts, les spécialistes de la Loi qui appartenaient au parti des pharisiens interpellèrent ses disciples : Comment votre maître peut-il manger de la sorte avec des collecteurs d’impôts et des pécheurs notoires ?
17 Jésus, qui les avait entendus, leur dit : Les bien-portants n’ont pas besoin de médecin ; ce sont les malades qui en ont besoin. Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.

18 Un jour que les disciples de Jean et les pharisiens étaient en train de jeûner, ils vinrent trouver Jésus et lui demandèrent : Comment se fait-il que tes disciples ne jeûnent pas, alors que les disciples de Jean et les pharisiens le font ?
19 Jésus leur répondit : Comment les invités d’une noce pourraient-ils jeûner pendant que le marié est avec eux ? Aussi longtemps que le marié se trouve parmi eux, ils ne peuvent pas jeûner ! 20 Le temps viendra où il leur sera enlevé. Alors, ce jour-là, ils jeûneront.
21 Personne ne raccommode un vieux vêtement avec un morceau d’étoffe neuve. Sinon, la pièce rapportée tire sur la vieille étoffe et en arrache une partie. Finalement, la déchirure est pire qu’avant. 22 De même, personne ne verse du vin nouveau dans de vieilles outres, sinon le vin nouveau les fait éclater, et voilà le vin perdu, et les outres aussi. A vin nouveau, outres neuves !
Jésus, maître du sabbat(C)
23 Un jour de sabbat, Jésus traversait des champs de blé, et ses disciples, tout en marchant, cueillaient des épis.
24 Les pharisiens le firent remarquer à Jésus : Regarde ! Pourquoi tes disciples font-ils le jour du sabbat ce qui est interdit ce jour-là ?
25 Il leur répondit : N’avez-vous jamais lu ce qu’a fait David lorsque lui et ses compagnons ont eu faim et qu’ils n’avaient rien à manger ? 26 Il est entré dans le sanctuaire de Dieu (ce récit se trouve dans la section où il est question du grand-prêtre Abiatar)[c], il a mangé les pains exposés devant Dieu que seuls les prêtres ont le droit de manger, et il en a donné aussi à ses hommes.
27 Et il ajouta : Le sabbat a été fait pour l’homme, et non pas l’homme pour le sabbat. 28 C’est pourquoi le Fils de l’homme est aussi maître du sabbat.
