¹⁹ Going on a little farther, He saw James^(A) the son of Zebedee^(B) and his brother John.^(C) They were in their boat mending their nets. ²⁰ Immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Him.^(D)

²¹ Then^(E) they went into Capernaum,^(F) and right away He entered the synagogue^(G) on the Sabbath^(H) and began to teach.^{(I) 22} They were astonished^(J) at His teaching^(K) because, unlike the scribes,^(L) He was teaching them as one having authority.
