Appearances of the Risen Lord

[Early(A) on the first day of the week,(B) after He had risen,(C) He appeared first to Mary Magdalene,(D) out of whom He had driven seven demons.(E) 10 She went and reported to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping. 11 Yet, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it.(F) 12 Then after this, He appeared(G) in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country.(H) 13 And they went and reported it to the rest, who did not believe them either.

14 Later, He appeared to the Eleven(I) themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been resurrected.(J)

When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene,(A) out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.(B)

12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.(C) 13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.

14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.(D)
