Mark 16:14-19

The Disciples Commissioned

¹⁴Later ^(A)He appeared ^(B)to the eleven disciples themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reprimanded them for their ^(C)unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen from the dead. ¹⁵And He said to them, “^(D)Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. ¹⁶^(E)The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned. ¹⁷These signs will accompany those who have believed: ^(F)in My name they will cast out demons, they will ^(G)speak with new tongues; ¹⁸they will ^(H)pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will ^(I)lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

¹⁹So then, when the Lord Jesus had ^(J)spoken to them, He ^(K)was received up into heaven and ^(L)sat down at the right hand of God.

¹⁴Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.^(A)

¹⁵He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.^(B) ¹⁶Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.^(C) ¹⁷And these signs^(D) will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;^(E) they will speak in new tongues;^(F) ¹⁸they will pick up snakes^(G) with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on^(H) sick people, and they will get well.”
