The Disciples Commissioned

14 Later (A)He appeared (B)to the eleven disciples themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reprimanded them for their (C)unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen from the dead. 15 And He said to them, (D)Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 (E)The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who have believed: (F)in My name they will cast out demons, they will (G)speak with new tongues; 18 they will (H)pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will (I)lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then, when the Lord Jesus had (J)spoken to them, He (K)was received up into heaven and (L)sat down at the right hand of God.

14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.(A)

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.(B) 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.(C) 17 And these signs(D) will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;(E) they will speak in new tongues;(F) 18 they will pick up snakes(G) with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on(H) sick people, and they will get well.”

19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven(I) and he sat at the right hand of God.(J)
