3 And the chief priests accused him of many things. 4 And Pilate again asked him, (A)“Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.” 5 But Jesus (B)made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.
Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified
6 (C)Now at the feast he used to release for them one prisoner for whom they asked. 7 And among the rebels in prison, who had (D)committed murder (E)in the insurrection, there was a man called Barabbas. 8 And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them. 9 And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?”

3 The chief priests accused him of many things. 4 So again Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of.”
5 But Jesus still made no reply,(A) and Pilate was amazed.
6 Now it was the custom at the festival to release a prisoner whom the people requested. 7 A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising. 8 The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did.
