²⁷Then^[a] Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written,

‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep will be scattered.’^[b]

²⁸But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” ²⁹Peter said to him, “Even if they all fall away, I will not!”

Mark 14:27 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative.
