⁷ When you hear of wars and rumors of wars,^(A) don’t be alarmed;^(B) these things must take place,^(C) but the end is not yet. ⁸ For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.^(D) There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines.^[a] These are the beginning^(E) of birth pains.^(F)
