Mark 13:7-9

⁷And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, ^(A)do not be alarmed. This ^(B)must take place, but the end is not yet. ⁸For ^(C)nation will rise against nation, and ^(D)kingdom against kingdom. There will be ^(E)earthquakes in various places; there will be ^(F)famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.

⁹^(G)“But ^(H)be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten ^(I)in synagogues, and you will stand before ^(J)governors and ^(K)kings for my sake, ^(L)to bear witness before them.

⁷When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁸Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

⁹“You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues.^(A) On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.

⁷And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

⁸For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

⁹But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
