²⁷ And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.^(A)

³¹ And he will send his angels^(A) with a loud trumpet call,^(B) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

⁶ “Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “for I have scattered^(A) you to the four winds of heaven,”^(B) declares the Lord.^(C)

⁴ Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens,^(A) from there the Lord your God will gather^(B) you and bring you back.^(C)

The Man of Lawlessness

2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ^(A) and our being gathered to him,^(B) we ask you, brothers and sisters,

²² For false messiahs and false prophets^(A) will appear and perform signs and wonders^(B) to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

²⁰ “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.

⁴¹ The Son of Man^(A) will send out his angels,^(B) and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

⁶ Out of the temple^(A) came the seven angels with the seven plagues.^(B) They were dressed in clean, shining linen^(C) and wore golden sashes around their chests.^{(D) 7} Then one of the four living creatures^(E) gave to the seven angels^(F) seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.^(G)
