The Coming of the Son of Man
24 “But in those days, after (A)that tribulation, (B)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, 25 and (C)the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see (D)the Son of Man coming in clouds (E)with great power and glory. 27 And then (F)he will send out the angels and (G)gather (H)his elect from (I)the four winds, from (J)the ends of the earth (K)to the ends of heaven.
The Lesson of the Fig Tree
28 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, (L)at the very gates. 30 (M)Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 (N)Heaven and earth will pass away, but (O)my words will not pass away.
No One Knows That Day or Hour
32 “But concerning that day or that hour, (P)no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, (Q)nor the Son, (R)but only the Father. 33 (S)Be on guard, (T)keep awake.[a] For you do not know when the time will come. 34 (U)It is like a man (V)going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants[b] in charge, (W)each with his work, and commands (X)the doorkeeper to stay awake. 35 (Y)Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, (Z)in the evening, or (AA)at midnight, or (AB)when the rooster crows,[c] or (AC)in the morning— 36 lest (AD)he come suddenly and (AE)find you asleep. 37 And what I say to you I say to all: (AF)Stay awake.”

24 “그 고난의 기간이 지나면 해가 어두워지고 달이 빛을 내지 않을 것이며
25 별들이 떨어지고 [a]천체가 뒤흔들릴 것이다.
26 그때 사람들은 [b]내가 구름을 타고 큰 능력과 영광으로 오는 것을 볼 것이다.
27 그리고 내가 천사들을 보내 땅 끝에서 하늘 끝까지 사방에서 선택된 내 백성들을 모을 것이다.
28 “무화과나무의 비유를 배워라. 가지가 연해지고 잎이 돋으면 여름이 가까운 줄 알지 않느냐?
29 이와 같이 너희도 이런 일들이 일어나는 것을 보거든 [c]내가 문 밖에 가까이 온 줄 알아라.
30 내가 분명히 말해 둔다. 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일이 반드시 일어날 것이다.
31 하늘과 땅은 없어질지라도 내 말은 결코 없어지지 않을 것이다.
32 그러나 내가 오는 그 날과 시간은 아무도 모른다. 하늘의 천사들과 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만 아신다.
33 “정신 차리고 [d]깨어 있어라. 그 때가 언제인지 너희는 모른다.
34 그것은 마치 어떤 사람이 여행을 떠나면서 종들에게 각각 일을 맡기고 문지기에게 잘 지키라고 명령하는 것과 같다.
35 그러므로 언제나 정신 차리고 있어라. 집 주인이 돌아올 시간이 저녁일지 밤중일지 닭 울 때일지 새벽일지 어떻게 알겠느냐?
36 그가 갑자기 와서 너희가 자는 것을 보지 않게 하라.
37 내가 너희에게만 아니라 모든 사람에게 말한다. 깨어 있어라!”

24 「在那些日子、那災難以後，
太陽要變黑，月亮也不放光，
25 眾星要從天上墜落，
天上的萬象都要震動。
26 那時，他們要看見人子帶着大能力和榮耀駕雲來臨。 27 他要差遣天使，從四方，從地極直到天邊，召集他的選民。」

28 「你們要從無花果樹學習功課：當樹枝發芽長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天近了。 29 同樣，當你們看見這些事發生，就知道那時候近了，就在門口了。 30 我實在告訴你們，這世代還沒有過去，這一切都要發生。 31 天地要廢去，我的話卻絕不廢去。」

32 「但那日子，那時辰，沒有人知道，連天上的天使也不知道，子也不知道，惟有父知道。 33 你們要謹慎，要警醒[a]，因為你們不知道那時刻幾時來到。 34 這事正如一個人離家遠行，授權給僕人們，分派各人的工作，又吩咐看門的警醒。 35 所以，你們要警醒，因為你們不知道這家的主人甚麼時候來，是晚上，或半夜，或雞叫時，或早晨， 36 免得他忽然來到，看見你們睡着了。 37 我對你們所說的話，也是對眾人說的：要警醒！」
