²^[b]Just as it is written in the prophet Isaiah: Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will make ready Your way—^(A)

“I will send my messenger ahead of you,

Mark 1:1 Or Jesus Christ. Messiah (Hebrew) and Christ (Greek) both mean Anointed One.
