Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Taong Sinasaniban ng Masamang Espiritu(A)
5 Dumating sila sa kabila ng lawa, sa lupain ng mga Geraseno.[a] 2 Pagbaba ni Jesus sa bangka, sinalubong siya ng isang lalaking galing sa kwebang libingan. Ang lalaking itoʼy sinasaniban ng masamang espiritu, 3 at doon na siya nakatira sa mga libingan. Hindi siya maigapos ng matagal kahit kadena pa ang gamitin nila. 4 Ilang beses na siyang kinadenahan sa kamay at paa, pero nalalagot niya ang mga ito. Walang nakakapigil sa kanya. 5 Nagsisisigaw siya araw at gabi sa mga libingan at kaburulan, at sinusugatan ang sarili ng matatalas na bato.
6 Malayo pa si Jesus ay nakita na siya ng lalaki. Patakbo siyang lumapit kay Jesus at lumuhod sa harapan niya. 7-8 Sinabi ni Jesus sa masamang espiritu, “Ikaw na masamang espiritu, lumabas ka sa taong iyan!” Sumigaw ang lalaki, “Ano ang pakialam mo sa akin, Jesus na Anak ng Kataas-taasang Dios? Nakikiusap ako, sa pangalan ng Dios, huwag mo akong pahirapan!” 9 Tinanong siya ni Jesus, “Ano ang pangalan mo?” Sagot niya, “Kawan, dahil marami kami.” 10 At paulit-ulit na nagmakaawa ang masamang espiritu kay Jesus na huwag silang palayasin sa lupaing iyon.
11 Sa di-kalayuan ay may malaking kawan ng mga baboy na nanginginain sa gilid ng burol. 12 Nagmakaawa ang masasamang espiritu na kung maaari ay payagan silang pumasok sa mga baboy. 13 Kaya pinayagan sila ni Jesus. Lumabas ang masasamang espiritu sa lalaki at pumasok sa mga baboy. Nagtakbuhan ang may dalawang libong baboy pababa ng burol, nagtuloy-tuloy sa lawa at nalunod.
14 Tumakbo ang mga tagapag-alaga ng baboy papunta sa bayan at ipinamalita roon at sa mga kalapit-nayon ang nangyari. Kaya pumunta roon ang mga tao para alamin ang tunay na nangyari. 15 Pagdating nila kay Jesus, nakita nila ang taong dating sinasaniban ng kawan ng masasamang espiritu. Nakaupo siya at nakadamit, at matino na ang pag-iisip. Kaya natakot ang mga tao. 16 Ikinuwento sa kanila ng mga nakakita kung ano ang nangyari sa taong iyon at sa mga baboy. 17 Kaya pinakiusapan nila si Jesus na umalis sa kanilang lugar. 18 Nang sumasakay na si Jesus sa bangka, nakiusap sa kanya ang lalaking gumaling na isama siya. 19 Pero hindi pumayag si Jesus. Sa halip, sinabi niya sa lalaki, “Umuwi ka sa pamilya mo at sabihin mo sa kanila ang lahat ng ginawa sa iyo ng Panginoon at kung paano ka niya kinaawaan.” 20 Kaya umalis ang lalaki at ipinamalita sa Decapolis,[b] ang ginawa sa kanya ni Jesus. At namangha ang lahat ng nakarinig tungkol sa nangyari.
Ang Anak ni Jairus at ang Babaeng Dinudugo(B)
21 Nang bumalik si Jesus sa kabila ng lawa, napakaraming tao ang nagtipon doon sa kanya. 22 Pumunta rin doon si Jairus na namumuno sa sambahan ng mga Judio. Pagkakita niya kay Jesus, lumuhod siya sa paanan nito 23 at nagmakaawa, “Agaw-buhay po ang anak kong dalagita. Kung pwede po sana, sumama kayo sa akin at ipatong ninyo ang inyong kamay sa kanya, para gumaling siya at mabuhay!” 24 Sumama sa kanya si Jesus, at sinundan siya ng napakaraming tao na nagsisiksikan sa kanya. 25 May isang babae roon na 12 taon nang dinudugo. 26 Maraming hirap ang dinanas niya sa kabila ng pagpapagamot sa ibaʼt ibang doktor. Naubos na niya ang lahat ng ari-arian niya sa pagpapagamot, pero sa halip na gumaling ay lalo pang lumala ang kanyang sakit. 27 Nabalitaan niya ang mga himalang ginagawa ni Jesus, kaya nakipagsiksikan siya sa mga tao upang mahipo man lang ang damit ni Jesus. 28 Naisip kasi ng babae, “Mahipo ko lang ang damit niya ay gagaling ako.” 29 Nang mahipo nga niya ang damit ni Jesus, biglang tumigil ang kanyang pagdurugo at naramdaman niyang magaling na siya. 30 Agad namang naramdaman ni Jesus na may kapangyarihan na lumabas sa kanya, kaya lumingon siya at nagtanong, “Sino ang humipo sa damit ko?” 31 Sumagot ang mga tagasunod niya, “Sa dami po ng mga taong sumisiksik sa inyo, bakit pa kayo nagtatanong kung sino ang humipo sa inyo?” 32 Pero patuloy siyang tumingin sa paligid para makita kung sino ang humipo sa kanya. 33 Alam ng babae kung ano ang nangyari sa kanya, kaya lumapit siyang nanginginig sa takot at lumuhod sa harap ni Jesus. Ipinagtapat niya ang katotohanan kay Jesus. 34 Pagkatapos, sinabi sa kanya ni Jesus, “Anak, pinagaling[c] ka ng iyong pananampalataya. Umuwi kang mapayapa. Magaling ka na.”
35 Habang kausap pa ni Jesus ang babae, dumating ang ilang tao mula sa bahay ni Jairus. Sinabi nila kay Jairus, “Patay na po ang anak ninyo. Huwag nʼyo nang abalahin ang guro.” 36 Pero hindi pinansin ni Jesus ang sinabi nila. Sa halip, sinabi niya kay Jairus, “Huwag kang matakot. Manampalataya ka lang.” 37 Hindi pinayagan ni Jesus ang mga tao na sumama sa kanya sa bahay ni Jairus. Sa halip, si Pedro at ang magkapatid na sina Santiago at Juan lang ang isinama niya. 38 Pagdating nila roon, nakita ni Jesus na nagkakagulo ang mga tao. May mga umiiyak at may mga humahagulgol. 39 Pumasok siya sa bahay at sinabi niya sa mga tao, “Bakit kayo nagkakagulo at nag-iiyakan? Hindi patay ang bata kundi natutulog lang!” 40 Pinagtawanan siya ng mga tao. Kaya pinalabas niya silang lahat maliban sa amaʼt ina ng bata at sa tatlo niyang tagasunod. Pagkatapos, pumasok sila sa kwartong kinaroroonan ng bata. 41 Hinawakan niya sa kamay ang bata at sinabi, “Talitha koum,” na ang ibig sabihin ay “Nene, bumangon ka.” 42 Bumangon naman agad ang bata at nagpalakad-lakad. (12 taon na noon ang bata.) Labis ang pagkamangha ng mga tao sa nangyari. 43 Pero mahigpit silang pinagbilinan ni Jesus na huwag ipagsabi kahit kanino ang nangyari. Pagkatapos, sinabihan sila ni Jesus na bigyan ng makakain ang bata.

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(A)(B)
5 They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.[a] 2 When Jesus got out of the boat,(C) a man with an impure spirit(D) came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(E) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(F) In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,”(G) he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion(H) of demons,(I) sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them(J) how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b](K) how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(L)
21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake,(M) a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake.(N) 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders,(O) named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on(P) her so that she will be healed and live.” 24 So Jesus went with him.
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding(Q) for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes,(R) I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.(S)
30 At once Jesus realized that power(T) had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(U) Go in peace(V) and be freed from your suffering.”
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(W) “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[c] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(X) 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader,(Y) Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”(Z) 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand(AA) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).(AB) 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this,(AC) and told them to give her something to eat.

A Demon-Possessed Man Healed(A)
5 Then (B)they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the [a]Gadarenes. 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an (C)unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind [b]him, not even with chains, 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I (D)implore[c] You by God that You do not torment me.”
8 For He said to him, (E)“Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9 Then He asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” 10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.
11 Now a large herd of (F)swine was feeding there near the mountains. 12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 13 And [d]at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been (G)demon-possessed and had the legion, (H)sitting and (I)clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. 16 And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. 17 Then (J)they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
18 And when He got into the boat, (K)he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. 19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” 20 And he departed and began to (L)proclaim in [e]Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all (M)marveled.
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed(N)
21 (O)Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22 (P)And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and (Q)lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
25 Now a certain woman (R)had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and (S)touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the [f]affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that (T)power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, (U)fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, (V)your faith has made you well. (W)Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
35 (X)While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only (Y)believe.” 37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw [g]a tumult and those who (Z)wept and wailed loudly. 39 When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but (AA)sleeping.”
40 And they ridiculed Him. (AB)But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were (AC)overcome with great amazement. 43 But (AD)He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.

5 他们渡到海的对岸，到格拉森人[a]的地区。 2 耶稣一下船，就有一个污灵附身的人从坟墓迎着他走来。 3 那人常住在坟墓里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能； 4 因为人屡次用脚镣和铁链捆锁他，铁链被他挣断，脚镣也被他弄碎了，总没有人能制伏他。 5 他昼夜常在坟墓里和山中喊叫，又用石头打自己。 6 他远远看见耶稣，就跑过来拜他， 7 大声呼叫说：“至高 神的儿子耶稣，你为什么干扰我？我指着 神恳求你，不要叫我受苦！” 8 这是因耶稣曾吩咐他说：“污灵啊，从这人身上出来！” 9 耶稣问他：“你叫什么名字？”他说：“我名叫群，因为我们数目众多。” 10 他就再三求耶稣不要叫他们离开那地方。
11 在山坡那里，有一大群猪正在吃食； 12 污灵就央求耶稣，说：“求你打发我们进入猪群，好附着它们。” 13 耶稣准了他们，污灵就出来，进入猪里，那群猪就闯下山崖，投进海里，淹死了。猪的数目约有二千。 14 放猪的逃跑了，去告诉城里和乡下的人。众人就来，要看发生了什么事。 15 他们来到耶稣那里，看见那被鬼附的人，就是曾被群鬼所附的，坐着，穿着衣服，神智清醒，他们就害怕。 16 看见这事的人把被鬼附的人所遇见的，和那群猪的事，都告诉了众人， 17 众人就央求耶稣离开他们的地区。 18 耶稣上船的时候，那曾被鬼附的人恳求要和耶稣在一起。 19 耶稣不许，却对他说：“你回家去，到你的亲友那里，将主为你所做多么大的事和他怎样怜悯你，都告诉他们。” 20 那人就走了，开始在低加坡里传扬耶稣为他做了多么大的事，众人就都惊讶。
叶鲁的女儿和经血不止的女人(B)
21 耶稣又坐船[b]渡到对岸，有一大群人聚集到他身边；他正在海边。 22 有一个会堂主管，名叫叶鲁，也来了，一见到耶稣，就俯伏在他脚前， 23 再三求他，说：“我的小女儿快要死了，求你去为她按手，使她痊愈，可以活下去。” 24 耶稣就和他同去。
有一大群人跟随他，拥挤着他。 25 有一个女人，患了经血不止的病有十二年， 26 在好多医生手里受了许多苦，又花尽了她所有的，一点也不见好，反而更重了。 27 她听见耶稣的事，就夹在众人中间，从后面来摸耶稣的衣裳， 28 因她想：“我只摸到他的衣裳，就会痊愈。” 29 于是她的流血立刻止住，她觉得身上的疾病好了。 30 耶稣顿时心里觉得有能力从自己身上出去，就在众人中间转过来，说：“谁摸我的衣裳？” 31 门徒对他说：“你看众人拥挤着你，还说‘谁摸我’呢？” 32 耶稣周围观看，要见做这事的女人。 33 那女人知道在自己身上所成的事，就恐惧战兢，来俯伏在耶稣跟前，将实情全告诉他。 34 耶稣对她说：“女儿，你的信救了你，平安地回去吧！你的疾病痊愈了。”
35 耶稣还在说话的时候，有人从会堂主管的家里来，说：“你的女儿死了，何必还劳驾老师呢？” 36 耶稣不理会他们所说的话，就对会堂主管说：“不要怕，只要信！” 37 于是他带着彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰同去，不许别人跟着他。 38 他们来到会堂主管的家里，耶稣看到一片吵闹，并有人大声哭泣哀号， 39 就进到里面，对他们说：“为什么大吵大哭呢？孩子不是死了，是睡着了。” 40 他们就嘲笑耶稣。耶稣把他们都赶出去，带着孩子的父母和跟随的人进了孩子所在的地方， 41 就拉着孩子的手，对她说：“大利大，古米！”翻出来就是说：“女孩，我吩咐你，起来！” 42 那女孩子立刻起来走动—她已经十二岁了；他们就非常惊奇。 43 耶稣切切地嘱咐他们，不要让人知道这事，又吩咐给她东西吃。
