35 Habang nagsasalita pa si Jesus, may ilang taong dumating mula sa bahay ni Jairo. “Patay na po ang inyong anak. Huwag na po ninyong abalahin ang Guro,” sabi nila.
36 Ngunit nang marinig ito ni Jesus,[a] sinabi niya kay Jairo, “Huwag kang matakot; manampalataya ka lamang.”
37 At hindi pinayagan ni Jesus na sumama sa kanya ang mga tao maliban kina Pedro at ang magkapatid na Santiago at Juan.

35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(A) “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[a] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(B)
