Jesus cura um homem no sábado
(Mt 12.9-14; Lc 6.6-11)
3 Numa outra ocasião, Jesus entrou novamente na sinagoga. Ali também se encontrava um homem que tinha uma das mãos paralizada. 2 Algumas pessoas, porém, estavam lá somente para observar Jesus de perto. Eles queriam ver se Jesus iria curar alguém no sábado, pois assim eles poderiam acusá-lo. 3 Jesus disse ao homem com a mão paralizada:
—Levante-se e coloque-se de frente para todos.
4 Depois Jesus perguntou:
—O que é permitido fazer no sábado: o bem ou o mal? É permitido salvar uma vida ou destruí-la? Mas ninguém lhe respondeu nada. 5 Jesus, então, olhou muito zangado para eles à sua volta e, ao mesmo tempo, ficou triste por causa da dureza dos seus corações. Ele se dirigiu ao homem e lhe disse:
—Estenda a sua mão.
O homem a estendeu e ela ficou curada. 6 Os fariseus, então, saíram e, encontrando-se com os herodianos, começaram imediatamente a fazer planos para matá-lo.
A cura de muitos na praia
7 Jesus partiu com os seus discípulos para o lago da Galileia, mas uma grande multidão o seguia. Eram pessoas vindas das regiões da Galileia e da Judeia, 8 de Jerusalém e da Idumeia. Muitos também eram de regiões que ficavam do outro lado do rio Jordão e dos arredores das cidades de Tiro e de Sidom. Eles formavam uma enorme multidão e tinham vindo porque ouviram falar de todas as coisas que Jesus fazia. 9 A multidão era tão grande que Jesus pediu aos seus discípulos que lhe arranjassem um barco para que assim ele não fosse apertado pelo povo.
10 Ele já tinha curado muita gente e, por causa disso, muitos doentes tentavam a todo custo chegar mais perto de Jesus, a fim de poder tocar nele. 11 Quando os demônios o viam, caíam no chão na sua frente e gritavam:
—Você é o Filho de Deus!
12 Mas Jesus os advertia severamente para que eles não dissessem quem ele era.
Jesus escolhe os doze apóstolos
(Mt 10.1-4; Lc 6.12-16)
13 Jesus subiu a um monte e chamou para si aqueles que ele queria. Eles foram e, 14 dentre eles, Jesus escolheu doze, a quem chamou de apóstolos. Jesus os escolheu para que eles andassem sempre com ele, e também para que pudesse enviá-los a proclamar sua mensagem, 15 dando-lhes poder até para expulsar demônios. 16 Estes doze foram os escolhidos:
Simão (a quem Jesus deu o nome de Pedro),
17 Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu (aos quais deu o nome de Boanerges, que quer dizer “Filhos do Trovão”),
18 André,
Filipe,
Bartolomeu,
Mateus,
Tomé,
Tiago, o filho de Alfeu,
Tadeu,
Simão, que pertencia ao grupo dos zelotes;[a]
19 e Judas Iscariotes (que foi quem o traiu).
O poder de Jesus vem de Deus
(Mt 12.22-32; Lc 11.14-23; 12.10)
20 Depois disso Jesus voltou para casa, mas novamente uma grande multidão se reuniu. Havia tanta gente que Jesus e seus discípulos nem sequer podiam comer. 21 Quando os parentes de Jesus ficaram sabendo dessas coisas, foram buscá-lo, pois as pessoas estavam dizendo que ele tinha perdido a razão.
22 Os professores da lei, que tinham vindo de Jerusalém, diziam:
—Ele está possuído por Belzebu, o chefe dos demônios! É pelo poder dele que Jesus expulsa os demônios!
23 Jesus, então, os chamou para perto dele e, por meio de parábolas, lhes disse:
—Como é que Satanás pode expulsar Satanás? 24 Um reino que estiver dividido e lutar contra si mesmo, não pode durar. 25 Uma família que estiver dividida e lutar contra si mesma, não pode durar. 26 Se Satanás se opuser a si mesmo e estiver dividido, ele não durará, porém este será o seu fim. 27 Ninguém entra na casa de um homem forte para lhe roubar os bens sem primeiro amarrá-lo. Depois de fazer isso, então, o ladrão pode entrar e roubar a casa. 28 Digo a verdade a vocês: Deus perdoará aos homens todos os pecados que cometerem e também todas as coisas más que disserem contra Deus. 29 Mas Deus não perdoará ao homem que insulte o Espírito Santo, esse não será perdoado, uma vez que ele é culpado de pecado eterno.

A verdadeira família de Jesus são seus discípulos

4 Apoi le-a zis lor: „Este voie în ziua de Sabat să faci bine sau să faci rău, să salvezi o viaţă sau să omori?“ Ei însă tăceau. 5 Şi-a rotit privirea peste ei cu mânie şi apoi, mâhnit de împietrirea inimii lor, i-a zis omului: „Întinde-ţi mâna!“ El a întins-o şi mâna lui a fost vindecată. 6 Atunci fariseii au ieşit afară şi au ţinut imediat sfat cu irodienii[b] împotriva Lui, cum să-L omoare.
Mulţimile Îl urmează pe Isus
7 Isus S-a dus împreună cu ucenicii Săi spre mare. Şi o mare mulţime de oameni din Galileea L-au urmat. De asemenea, o mare mulţime de oameni din Iudeea, 8 din Ierusalim, din Idumeea, de dincolo de Iordan şi din jurul Tirului şi al Sidonului, când au auzit despre tot ce făcea, au venit la El. 9 El le-a zis ucenicilor Săi să-I ţină la îndemână o barcă mică, din cauza mulţimii, ca să nu-L îmbulzească. 10 Căci El îi vindecase pe mulţi şi de aceea toţi cei ce aveau boli se înghesuiau în jurul Lui ca să-L atingă. 11 Când Îl vedeau, duhurile necurate cădeau înaintea Lui şi strigau: „Tu eşti Fiul lui Dumnezeu!“ 12 El însă le atenţiona cu severitate să nu-L facă cunoscut.
Alegerea celor doisprezece apostoli
13 Isus S-a urcat pe munte şi i-a chemat pe cei pe care El a vrut, iar ei au venit la El. 14 El a ales doisprezece, (pe care i-a numit apostoli)[c], ca să fie cu El, să-i trimită să predice 15 şi să le dea autoritate să scoată demoni. 16 (Iată-i deci pe cei doisprezece pe care i-a ales)[d]: Simon, căruia i-a pus numele Petru; 17 Iacov, fiul lui Zebedei, şi Ioan, fratele lui Iacov, cărora le-a pus numele „Boanerghes“, care înseamnă „Fiii tunetului“; 18 Andrei; Filip; Bartolomeu[e]; Matei; Toma; Iacov, fiul lui Alfeu; Tadeu; Simon, zelotul[f], 19 şi Iuda Iscarioteanul, cel care L-a trădat pe Isus.
Isus şi Beelzebul
20 Au venit apoi în casă, dar mulţimea s-a adunat din nou, aşa că ei nu puteau nici măcar să mănânce. 21 Când au auzit ai Lui ce se întâmplă, au ieşit să-L înşface, căci ziceau că a înnebunit. 22 Cărturarii care veniseră de la Ierusalim ziceau că îl are în El pe Beelzebul[g] şi că scoate demonii cu ajutorul conducătorului demonilor.
23 Isus i-a chemat la El şi le-a vorbit în pilde[h]: „Cum poate Satan[i] să-l scoată afară pe Satan?! 24 Dacă o împărăţie este dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi, împărăţia aceea nu poate dăinui. 25 Şi dacă o casă este dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi, casa aceea nu va putea dăinui. 26 Aşadar, dacă Satan se ridică împotriva lui însuşi şi este dezbinat, atunci nu poate dăinui, ci i-a venit sfârşitul. 27 Nimeni nu poate să intre în casa celui puternic şi să-i fure lucrurile, decât dacă îl leagă mai întâi pe cel puternic! Abia atunci îi va putea jefui casa. 28 Adevărat vă spun că oamenilor le vor fi iertate toate păcatele şi toate blasfemiile pe care le vor rosti, 29 dar cel ce blasfemiază împotriva Duhului Sfânt nu va avea parte de iertare în veci, ci este vinovat de un păcat veşnic.“
30 Spunea astfel pentru că ei ziceau: „Are un duh necurat!“
Mama şi fraţii lui Isus
31 Atunci mama şi fraţii Lui au venit şi, stând afară, au trimis să-L cheme.[j] 32 Mulţimea care şedea în jurul Lui I-a zis:
– Iată că mama Ta, fraţii Tăi (şi surorile Tale)[k] sunt afară şi Te caută!
33 Isus le-a răspuns:
– Cine este mama Mea şi cine sunt fraţii Mei?
34 Şi rotindu-şi privirea peste cei ce şedeau în jurul Lui, a zis:
– Iată mama Mea şi fraţii Mei! 35 Căci cel ce face voia lui Dumnezeu, acela Îmi este frate, soră şi mamă.

2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

A Great Multitude Follows Jesus(H)
7 But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, (I)and from Judea 8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how (J)many things He was doing, came to Him. 9 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him. 10 For He healed (K)many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to (L)touch Him. 11 (M)And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, (N)“You are the Son of God.” 12 But (O)He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known.
The Twelve Apostles(P)
13 (Q)And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. A House Divided Cannot Stand(S)
20 Then the multitude came together again, (T)so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His (U)own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, (V)for they said, “He is out of His mind.”
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, (W)“He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the (X)ruler of the demons He casts out demons.”
23 (Y)So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 (Z)No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
The Unpardonable Sin(AA)
28 (AB)“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— 30 because they (AC)said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers Send for Him(AD)
31 (AE)Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him. 32 And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers [h]are outside seeking You.”
33 But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the (AF)will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”
