La resurrección de Jesús
16 Cuando pasó el sábado, María Magdalena, María madre de Jacobo y Salomé compraron especias aromáticas para ir a ungirle. 2 Muy de mañana, el primer día de la semana, fueron al sepulcro apenas salido el sol, 3 y se decían una a la otra:
—¿Quién nos removerá la piedra de la entrada del sepulcro?
4 Pero cuando miraron, vieron que la piedra ya había sido removida, a pesar de que era muy grande. 5 Y cuando entraron en el sepulcro, vieron a un joven sentado al lado derecho, vestido de una larga ropa blanca, y se asustaron. 6 Pero él les dijo:
—No se asusten. Ustedes buscan a Jesús de Nazaret, quien fue crucificado. ¡Ha resucitado! No está aquí. He aquí el lugar donde lo pusieron. 7 Pero vayan, digan a sus discípulos, y a Pedro, que él va delante de ustedes a Galilea. Allí lo verán, como les dijo.
8 Ellas salieron y huyeron del sepulcro, porque temblaban y estaban presas de espanto. Y no dijeron nada a nadie, porque tenían miedo[a].
Una conclusión del Evangelio
9 [Una vez resucitado Jesús, muy de mañana en el primer día de la semana, apareció primeramente a María Magdalena de la cual había echado siete demonios. 10 Ella fue y lo anunció a los que habían estado con él, que estaban tristes y lloraban. 11 Pero cuando ellos oyeron que estaba vivo y que había sido visto por ella, no lo creyeron.
12 Después apareció en otra forma a dos de ellos que iban caminando hacia el campo. 13 Ellos fueron y lo anunciaron a los demás, pero tampoco a ellos les creyeron.
14 Luego apareció a los once cuando estaban sentados a la mesa, y les reprendió por su incredulidad y dureza de corazón porque no habían creído a los que lo habían visto resucitado.
15 Y les dijo: “Vayan por todo el mundo y prediquen el evangelio a toda criatura. 16 El que cree y es bautizado será salvo; pero el que no cree será condenado. 17 Estas señales seguirán a los que creen: En mi nombre echarán fuera demonios, hablarán nuevas lenguas, 18 tomarán serpientes en las manos[b], y si llegan a beber cosa venenosa no les dañará. Sobre los enfermos pondrán sus manos, y sanarán”.
19 Después que les habló, el Señor Jesús fue recibido arriba en el cielo y se sentó a la diestra de Dios. 20 Y ellos salieron y predicaron en todas partes, actuando con ellos el Señor y confirmando la palabra con las señales que seguían[c]][d].

Resurrection Morning
16 When(A) the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene,(B) Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so they could go and anoint Him. 2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week,(C) they went to the tomb(D) at sunrise. 3 They were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance to the tomb for us?” 4 Looking up, they observed that the stone—which was very large—had been rolled away. 5 When(E) they entered the tomb,(F) they saw a young man[a](G) dressed(H) in a long white(I) robe sitting on the right side; they were amazed and alarmed.
6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he told them. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,(J) who was crucified. He has been resurrected!(K) He is not here! See the place where they put Him. 7 But go, tell His disciples and Peter,(L) ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee;(M) you will see Him there just as He told you.’”
8 So they went out and started running from the tomb,(N) because trembling and astonishment overwhelmed them. And they said nothing to anyone,(O) since they were afraid.
Appearances of the Risen Lord
[9 Early(P) on the first day of the week,(Q) after He had risen,(R) He appeared first to Mary Magdalene,(S) out of whom He had driven seven demons.(T) 10 She went and reported to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping. 11 Yet, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it.(U) 12 Then after this, He appeared(V) in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country.(W) 13 And they went and reported it to the rest, who did not believe them either.
The Great Commission
14 Later, He appeared to the Eleven(X) themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been resurrected.(Y) 15 Then(Z) He said to them, “Go into all the world(AA) and preach the gospel to the whole creation.(AB) 16 Whoever believes(AC) and is baptized will be saved,(AD) but whoever does not believe will be condemned.(AE) 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 they will pick up snakes;[b](AF) if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm(AG) them; they will lay hands on(AH) the sick, and they will get well.”
The Ascension
19 Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus(AI) was taken up into heaven(AJ) and sat down at the right hand(AK) of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.][c]
