Señales del fin del mundo(A)
13 Cuando salía Jesús del templo, le dijo uno de sus discípulos:
―¡Mira, Maestro! ¡Qué piedras! ¡Qué edificios!
2 ―¿Ves todos estos grandiosos edificios? —contestó Jesús—. No quedará piedra sobre piedra; todo será derribado.
3 Más tarde estaba Jesús sentado en el monte de los Olivos, frente al templo. Y Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés le preguntaron en privado:
4 ―Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá eso? ¿Y cuál será la señal de que todo está a punto de cumplirse?
5 ―Tened cuidado de que nadie os engañe —comenzó Jesús a advertirles—. 6 Vendrán muchos que, usando mi nombre, dirán: “Yo soy”, y engañarán a muchos. 7 Cuando escuchéis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no os alarméis. Es necesario que eso suceda, pero no será todavía el fin. 8 Se levantará nación contra nación y reino contra reino. Habrá terremotos por todas partes; también habrá hambre. Esto será solo el comienzo de los dolores.
9 »Pero vosotros cuidaos. Os entregarán a los tribunales y os azotarán en las sinagogas. Por mi causa compareceréis ante gobernadores y reyes para dar testimonio ante ellos. 10 Pero primero tendrá que predicarse el evangelio a todas las naciones. 11 Y, cuando os arresten y os sometan a juicio, no os preocupéis de antemano por lo que vais a decir. Declarad solo lo que se os revele en ese momento, porque no seréis vosotros los que habléis, sino el Espíritu Santo.
12 »El hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo. Los hijos se rebelarán contra sus padres y les darán muerte. 13 Todo el mundo os odiará por causa de mi nombre, pero el que se mantenga firme hasta el fin será salvo.
14 »Ahora bien, cuando veáis “el horrible sacrilegio”[a] donde no debe estar (el que lee, que lo entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas. 15 El que esté en la azotea no baje ni entre en casa para llevarse nada. 16 Y el que esté en el campo no regrese para buscar su capa. 17 ¡Ay de las que estén embarazadas o amamantando en aquellos días! 18 Orad para que esto no suceda en invierno, 19 porque serán días de tribulación como no la ha habido desde el principio, cuando Dios creó el mundo,[b] ni la habrá jamás. 20 Si el Señor no hubiera acortado esos días, nadie sobreviviría. Pero, por causa de los que él ha elegido, los ha acortado. 21 Entonces, si alguien os dice: “¡Mirad, aquí está el Cristo!” o “¡Mirad, allí está!”, no lo creáis. 22 Porque surgirán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas que harán señales y milagros para engañar, de ser posible, aun a los elegidos. 23 Así que tened cuidado; os he prevenido de todo.
24 »Pero en aquellos días, después de esa tribulación,
»“se oscurecerá el sol
y no brillará más la luna;
25 las estrellas caerán del cielo
y los cuerpos celestes serán sacudidos”.[c]
26 »Verán entonces al Hijo del hombre venir en las nubes con gran poder y gloria. 27 Y él enviará a sus ángeles para reunir de los cuatro vientos a los elegidos, desde los confines de la tierra hasta los confines del cielo.
28 »Aprended de la higuera esta lección: Tan pronto como se ponen tiernas sus ramas y brotan sus hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca. 29 Igualmente, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que el tiempo está cerca, a las puertas. 30 Os aseguro que no pasará esta generación hasta que todas estas cosas sucedan. 31 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras jamás pasarán.
Se desconocen el día y la hora
32 »Pero, en cuanto al día y la hora, nadie lo sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino solo el Padre. 33 ¡Estad alerta! ¡Vigilad![d] Porque no sabéis cuándo llegará ese momento. 34 Es como cuando un hombre sale de viaje y deja su casa al cuidado de sus siervos, cada uno con su tarea, y le manda al portero que vigile.
35 »Por lo tanto, estad despiertos, porque no sabéis cuándo volverá el dueño de la casa, si al atardecer, o a la medianoche, o al canto del gallo, o al amanecer; 36 no sea que venga de repente y os encuentre dormidos. 37 Lo que os digo a vosotros, se lo digo a todos: ¡Estad despiertos!»

Jesús predice la destrucción del templo

13 Saliendo Jesús del templo, le dijo uno de sus discípulos: Maestro, mira qué piedras, y qué edificios. 2 Jesús, respondiendo, le dijo: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? No quedará piedra sobre piedra, que no sea derribada.
Señales antes del fin
(Mt. 24.3-28; Lc. 21.7-24; 17.22-24)
3 Y se sentó en el monte de los Olivos, frente al templo. Y Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés le preguntaron aparte: 4 Dinos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas? ¿Y qué señal habrá cuando todas estas cosas hayan de cumplirse? 5 Jesús, respondiéndoles, comenzó a decir: Mirad que nadie os engañe; 6 porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo; y engañarán a muchos. 7 Mas cuando oigáis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no os turbéis, porque es necesario que suceda así; pero aún no es el fin. 8 Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá terremotos en muchos lugares, y habrá hambres y alborotos; principios de dolores son estos.
9 Pero mirad por vosotros mismos; porque os entregarán a los concilios, y en las sinagogas os azotarán; y delante de gobernadores y de reyes os llevarán por causa de mí, para testimonio a ellos. 10 Y es necesario que el evangelio sea predicado antes a todas las naciones. 11 Pero cuando os trajeren para entregaros, no os preocupéis por lo que habéis de decir, ni lo penséis, sino lo que os fuere dado en aquella hora, eso hablad; porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu Santo.(A) 12 Y el hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y se levantarán los hijos contra los padres, y los matarán. 13 Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre; mas el que persevere hasta el fin, este será salvo.(B)
14 Pero cuando veáis la abominación desoladora(C) de que habló el profeta Daniel, puesta donde no debe estar (el que lee, entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a los montes. 15 El que esté en la azotea, no descienda a la casa, ni entre para tomar algo de su casa; 16 y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás a tomar su capa.(D) 17 Mas ¡ay de las que estén encintas, y de las que críen en aquellos días! 18 Orad, pues, que vuestra huida no sea en invierno; 19 porque aquellos días serán de tribulación(E) cual nunca ha habido desde el principio de la creación que Dios creó, hasta este tiempo, ni la habrá. 20 Y si el Señor no hubiese acortado aquellos días, nadie sería salvo; mas por causa de los escogidos que él escogió, acortó aquellos días. 21 Entonces si alguno os dijere: Mirad, aquí está el Cristo; o, mirad, allí está, no le creáis. 22 Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y harán señales y prodigios, para engañar, si fuese posible, aun a los escogidos. 23 Mas vosotros mirad; os lo he dicho todo antes.
La venida del Hijo del Hombre
(Mt. 24.29-35,42-44; Lc. 21.25-36)
24 Pero en aquellos días, después de aquella tribulación, el sol se oscurecerá, y la luna no dará su resplandor, 25 y las estrellas caerán del cielo,(F) y las potencias que están en los cielos serán conmovidas. 26 Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre, que vendrá en las nubes(G) con gran poder y gloria. 27 Y entonces enviará sus ángeles, y juntará a sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde el extremo de la tierra hasta el extremo del cielo.
28 De la higuera aprended la parábola: Cuando ya su rama está tierna, y brotan las hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca. 29 Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, conoced que está cerca, a las puertas. 30 De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto acontezca. 31 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.
32 Pero de aquel día y de la hora nadie sabe, ni aun los ángeles que están en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino el Padre.(H) 33 Mirad, velad y orad; porque no sabéis cuándo será el tiempo. 34 Es como el hombre que yéndose lejos, dejó su casa, y dio autoridad a sus siervos, y a cada uno su obra, y al portero mandó que velase.(I) 35 Velad, pues, porque no sabéis cuándo vendrá el señor de la casa; si al anochecer, o a la medianoche, o al canto del gallo, o a la mañana; 36 para que cuando venga de repente, no os halle durmiendo. 37 Y lo que a vosotros digo, a todos lo digo: Velad.

13 And as Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach was going out from the Beis HaMikdash, one of his talmidim says to him, Hinei! Rebbe, what large stones and impressive binyanim (buildings)!
2 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach said to him, Do you see these great binyanim? Not one even (stone) will be left resting on another even (stone). All will be thrown down!
3 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the Beis HaMikdash having a yechidus (private meeting) with Kefa and Yaakov and Yochanan and Andrew.
4 Tell us when these things will be and what [will be] the ot (sign) when all these things are about to be consummated?
5 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach began to say to them, Beware lest anyone deceive you.
6 For many will come in my name [i.e., arrogating my title and authority as Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach] saying I am [here]. And they will deceive many. [YIRMEYAH 29:8]
7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. It is necessary for these things to occur, but it is not yet HaKetz (the End [of the OlamHazeh]).
8 For there will be an intifada of ethnic group against ethnic group and malchut against malchut, there will be earthquakes in place after place, [and] there will be famines. These things are but the beginning of the Chevlei [Moshiach].
9 But as for yourselves, take heed and be careful. For they will hand you over to the sanhedrin and in the shuls you will be beaten and before moshlim (governors) and melachim (kings) you will take your stand for the sake of me [Moshiach] as a solemn edut (testimony) to them.
10 And it is necessary that the Besuras HaGeulah first be proclaimed to all nations.
11 And when they arraign you and hand you over for trial, do not be worried beforehand about what you might say; but whatever is given to you in that hour, this you shall say, for it is not you yourselves who are the ones speaking, but the Ruach Hakodesh.
12 And ach will hand over ach to mavet, and Av [his] own yeled, and yeladim will rise up against horim (parents) and cause them to be condemned with onesh mavet (the death penalty). [MICHOH 7:6]
13 And everyone will hate you with sinas chinom (baseless hatred) because of my Name [Yehoshua, Yeshua]. But the one having endured to HaKetz, this one will receive Yeshuat Eloheinu.
14 And when you see the SHIKUTS MESHOMEM (the abomination of desolation, the abomination that causes desolation, DANIEL 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) standing where it ought not‖let the one reading this, take heed‖then let the ones in Yehudah flee to the mountains.
15 And the one on the roof, let him not come down back inside, and let him not enter his bais to take anything away.
16 And the one in the sadeh (field) let him not turn back to get his kaftan.
17 And oy to the ones with child and the ones with nursing infants in those days.
18 But daven tefillos that it may not occur in khoref (winter).
19 For in those days will be Tzarah Gedolah (Great Tribulation) of such a kind as has not happened from [the] Reshit Yedei HaBriah (Beginning of the Days of Creation) which Hashem created until now, and never again will be. [DANIEL 9:26; 12:1; YOEL 2:2]
20 And unless Hashem makes those yamim shortened, no one would be delivered in the Yeshuat Eloheinu. But for the sake of the Bechirim, whom Hashem chose, he shortened the yamim.
21 And, then, if someone says to you, Hinei! Here [is] the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach! Hinei! There! do not have emunah in what they say.
22 For meshichei sheker (false moshiachs) will arise, and neviei sheker (false prophets), and they will perform otot and moftim so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, the Bechirim. [DEVARIM 13:6,7,11,14]
23 But you beware. I have forewarned you concerning all things.
24 But after the Tzarah [13:19] of yamim hahem, the shemesh will be darkened, and the levanah will not give its ohr,
25 And the kokhavim (stars) will be falling out of Shomayim, and the kochot (powers), the ones in Shomayim, will be shaken. [YESHAYAH 13:10; 34:4; YECHEZKEL 32:7-8; AMOS 8:9; YOEL 3:3f (2:30f)]
26 And then you will see the BEN HAADAM BA BAANANIM (the Son of Man [Moshiach] coming in clouds DANIEL 7:13-14) with gevurah rabbah (great power) and kavod (glory).
27 And then he will send the malachim and he will gather together his Bechirim [13:20] from the four winds, from the ends (extremities) of haaretz to the ends (extremities) of Shomayim. [ZECHARYAH 2:6]
28 And from the etz teenah (fig tree) learn the mashal: when by that time its branch has become tender and it puts forth the leaves, you have daas that Kayitz is near;
29 So also you, when you see these things happening, have daas that it is near, at the doors.
30 Omein, I say to you that by no means HaDor HaZeh passes away until all these things take place. [Mk 13:24; Mt 27:45]
31 Shomayim and haaretz will pass away, but the dvarim of me [Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach] will by no means pass away. [YESHAYAH 40:8]
32 But concerning HaYom HaHu or the shaah, no one has daas, neither the malachim in Shomayim nor HaBen, but only HaAv.
33 Beware, stay shomer (on guard), for you do not have daas when the time is.
34 It is like a man, when departing on a journey and leaving his bais (house) and, having put his avadim (servants) in charge, each with his assigned avodah (work), gives orders to the gatekeeper to be shomer.
35 Therefore you be shomer, for you do not have daas when the Baal Bayit comes, either late in the yom or at chatzot halailah or at cockcrow or baboker,
36 Lest having come PITOM (suddenly MALACHI 3:1) he finds you sleeping.
37 And what I say to you, I say to all, be shomer.
