3 (A)Awo Yesu n’ayingira nate mu kkuŋŋaaniro, nga mulimu omusajja eyalina omukono ogukaze. 2 (B)Baali balindirira okulaba obanga anaamuwonya ku Ssabbiiti balyoke bamuwawaabire. 3 Yesu n’agamba omusajja eyalina omukono ogukaze nti, “Yimirira wakati.” 4 N’abagamba nti, “Kikkirizibwa okukola ekirungi ku Ssabbiiti oba okukola ekibi? Okuwonya bulamu oba okubuzikiriza?” Naye ne batamuddamu. 5 Yesu n’abatunuulira ng’akambuwadde era nga munakuwavu nnyo olw’obukakanyavu bw’emitima gyabwe, n’agamba omusajja nti, “Golola omukono gwo.” N’agolola omukono gwe, ne guwona. 6 (C)Amangwago Abafalisaayo ne bafuluma ne bateesa n’Abakerodiyaani nga bwe banaamuzikiriza.
Ebibiina Bigoberera Yesu
7 (D)Awo Yesu n’abayigirizwa be ne bagenda ku nnyanja. Ekibiina kinene ekyava mu Ggaliraaya ne mu Buyudaaya ne kimugoberera. 8 (E)N’abalala ne bava mu kibuga Yerusaalemi, n’abalala mu Idumaya, n’abalala ne bava emitala w’omugga Yoludaani n’okwetooloola Ttuulo ne Sidoni ne bamugoberera. Ekibiina ky’abantu bwe baawulira bye yali akola ne bajja gy’ali. 9 Yesu n’agamba abayigirizwa be eryato limubeere kumpi olw’ekibiina ekinene, ekibiina kireme kumunyigiriza. 10 (F)Kubanga yawonya bangi, bangi ne baagala okumugwira bamukwateko olw’endwadde zaabwe. 11 (G)Awo emyoyo emibi bwe gyamulaba ne gigwa mu maaso ge nga gireekaana nga gigamba nti, “Ggwe Mwana wa Katonda.” 12 (H)Naye n’agikomako gireme okumwatuukiriza.
Yesu Alonda Abayigirizwa Ekkumi n’Ababiri
13 (I)Awo Yesu n’alinnya ku lusozi, n’ayita abo be yayagala, ne bajja gy’ali. 14 (J)N’alonda kkumi na babiri mu abo, be yafuula abatume babeerenga naye, era abatumenga okubuulira. 15 (K)N’abawa n’obuyinza okugobanga baddayimooni. Ekkumi n’ababiri be yalonda be bano:
16 (L)Awo n’alonda ekkumi na babiri era be bano:
Simooni, gwe yatuuma “Peetero” ne
17 Yakobo ne Yokaana, batabani ba Zebbedaayo, Yesu be yatuuma “Bowanerege” amakulu nti, “Abaana b’Okubwatuka.”
18 Andereya,
ne Firipo,
ne Battolomaayo,
ne Matayo,
ne Tomasi,
ne Yakobo, omwana wa Alufaayo
ne Saddayo,
ne Simooni, Omukananaayo,
19 ne Yuda Isukalyoti eyamulyamu olukwe.
Yesu ne Beeruzebuli
20 (M)Awo Yesu n’ayingira mu nnyumba ekibiina kinene ne bakuŋŋaanira nate w’ali, ye ne be yali nabo ne batasobola kulya. 21 (N)Awo baganda be bwe baakiwulira ne bagenda bamuggyeyo, kubanga baalowooza nti alaluse. 22 (O)Naye abannyonnyozi b’amateeka abaava e Yerusaalemi ne bagamba nti, “Aliko Beeruzebuli omukulu wa baddayimooni, era obuyinza bwe bw’akozesa okugoba baddayimooni.”
23 (P)Awo Yesu n’abayita n’ayogera nabo mu ngero ng’agamba nti, “Setaani ayinza atya okugoba Setaani? 24 Obwakabaka bwe bwawukana tebuyinza kubaawo. 25 N’ennyumba eyawukanye, teyinza kubeerawo. 26 Ne Setaani bw’atyo bw’alwanagana yekka na yekka tayinza kubaawo. Wabula yeezikiriza yekka. 27 (Q)Naye tewali ayinza kuyingira mu nnyumba ya muntu w’amaanyi, okunyaga ebintu bye nga tasoose kumusiba n’alyoka anyaga ebintu bye. 28 Ddala ddala mbagamba nti buli kintu kyonna omuntu ky’akola kirisonyiyibwa abaana b’abantu, ebibi n’okuvvoola kwonna kwe bavvoola. 29 (R)Naye buli alivvoola Mwoyo Mutukuvu talisonyiyibwa, emirembe n’emirembe naye alisingibwa omusango olw’ekibi eky’emirembe n’emirembe.”
30 Yayogera atyo gye bali kubanga baagamba nti, “Aliko omwoyo omubi.”
Baganda ba Yesu ne Nnyina
31 (S)Awo baganda ba Yesu ne nnyina ne bajja gy’ali ebweru nga baagala okumulaba. Awo ne bamutumira bamuyite ajje ayogere nabo. 32 Ekibiina ky’abantu kyali kimwetoolodde, ne bamugamba nti, “Nnyoko ne baganda bo ne bannyoko bali wabweru bakunoonya.”
33 Naye n’abaddamu nti, “Mmange ye ani, ne baganda bange be baani?”
34 Awo bwe yeetoolooza amaaso abo abaali batudde nga bamwebunguludde, n’abagamba nti, “Bano be mulaba be bammange era be baganda bange! 35 Kubanga buli muntu akola Katonda by’asiima ye muganda wange, ye mwannyinaze era ye mmange.”

GOD’S WORD Translation
Jesus Heals on the Day of Rest—a Holy Day(A)
3 Jesus went into a synagogue again. A man who had a paralyzed hand was there. 2 The people were watching Jesus closely. They wanted to see whether he would heal the man on the day of rest—a holy day, so that they could accuse him of doing something wrong.
3 So he told the man with the paralyzed hand, “Stand in the center ⌞of the synagogue⌟.” 4 Then he asked them, “Is it right to do good or to do evil on the day of rest—a holy day, to give a person back his health or to let him die?”
But they were silent. 5 Jesus was angry as he looked around at them. He was deeply hurt because their minds were closed. Then he told the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held it out, and his hand became normal again.
6 The Pharisees left, and with Herod’s followers they immediately plotted to kill Jesus.
Many People Are Cured(B)
7 Jesus left with his disciples for the Sea of Galilee. A large crowd from Galilee, Judea, 8 Jerusalem, Idumea, and from across the Jordan River, and from around Tyre and Sidon followed him. They came to him because they had heard about everything he was doing. 9 Jesus told his disciples to have a boat ready so that the crowd would not crush him. 10 He had cured so many that everyone with a disease rushed up to him in order to touch him. 11 Whenever people with evil spirits saw him, they would fall down in front of him and shout, “You are the Son of God!” 12 He gave them orders not to tell people who he was.
Jesus Appoints Twelve Apostles(C)
13 Jesus went up a mountain, called those whom he wanted, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve whom he called apostles.[a] They were to accompany him and to be sent out by him to spread ⌞the Good News⌟. 15 They also had the authority to force demons out of people.
16 He appointed these twelve: Simon (whom Jesus named Peter), 17 James and his brother John (Zebedee’s sons whom Jesus named Boanerges, which means “Thunderbolts”), 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot, 19 and Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed Jesus).
Jesus Is Accused of Working with Beelzebul(D)
20 Then Jesus went home. Another crowd gathered so that Jesus and his disciples could not even eat. 21 When his family heard about it, they went to get him. They said, “He’s out of his mind!”
22 The experts in Moses’ Teachings who had come from Jerusalem said, “Beelzebul is in him,” and “He forces demons out of people with the help of the ruler of demons.”
23 Jesus called them together and used this illustration: “How can Satan force out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot last. 25 And if a household is divided against itself, that household will not last. 26 So if Satan rebels against himself and is divided, he cannot last. That will be the end of him.
27 “No one can go into a strong man’s house and steal his property. First he must tie up the strong man. Then he can go through the strong man’s house and steal his property.
28 “I can guarantee this truth: People will be forgiven for any sin or curse. 29 But whoever curses the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. He is guilty of an everlasting sin.” 30 Jesus said this because the experts in Moses’ Teachings had said that he had an evil spirit.
The True Family of Jesus(E)
31 Then his mother and his brothers arrived. They stood outside and sent someone to ask him to come out. 32 The crowd sitting around Jesus told him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.”
33 He replied to them, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 34 Then looking at those who sat in a circle around him, he said, “Look, here are my mother and my brothers. 35 Whoever does what God wants is my brother and sister and mother.”
