4 Căci iată, vine ziua(A) care va arde ca un cuptor! Toţi cei trufaşi(B) şi toţi cei răi vor fi ca miriştea(C); ziua care vine îi va arde, zice Domnul oştirilor, şi nu le va lăsa(D) nici rădăcină, nici ramură. 2 Dar pentru voi, care vă temeţi(E) de Numele Meu, va răsări Soarele neprihănirii(F) şi tămăduirea va fi sub aripile Lui; veţi ieşi(G) şi veţi sări ca viţeii din grajd. 3 Şi veţi călca în picioare pe cei răi, căci ei vor fi ca cenuşa sub talpa picioarelor voastre în ziua pe care o pregătesc Eu, zice Domnul oştirilor. 4 Aduceţi-vă aminte de Legea lui Moise(H), robul Meu, căruia i-am dat în Horeb(I) rânduieli(J) şi porunci pentru tot Israelul! 5 Iată, vă voi trimite pe prorocul Ilie(K) înainte(L) de a veni ziua Domnului, ziua aceea mare şi înfricoşată. 6 El va întoarce inima părinţilor spre copii şi inima copiilor spre părinţii lor, ca nu cumva, la venirea Mea, să lovesc(M) ţara cu blestem(N)!”

Dios juzga a su pueblo
4 Dios dice:
«Ya está cerca el día
en que los orgullosos y malvados
arderán como la paja
y se quemarán por completo
a causa de mi enojo.
Yo soy el Dios todopoderoso,
y les juro que así será.
2 »Para ustedes, que me respetan,
la justicia brillará como el sol
y les traerá mi salvación.
Entonces ustedes saltarán de alegría,
como saltan los terneros
cuando salen del establo.
3 Ya tengo preparado ese día,
y ustedes aplastarán a los malvados
como aplastan el polvo que pisan.
Yo soy el Dios todopoderoso,
y les juro que así será.
Un consejo final
4 »Israelitas,
recuerden que en el monte Horeb
yo les di por medio de Moisés
mis enseñanzas y mandamientos.
¡No se olviden de obedecerlos!
5 »Antes de que llegue el día
en que yo los castigaré,
les enviaré al profeta Elías.
6 Él hará que los padres
se reconcilien con sus hijos
y vivan en paz.
Pero si no se reconcilian,
yo vendré y destruiré la tierra».

4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
