4 Porque eis que aquele dia vem ardendo como forno; todos os soberbos e todos os que cometem impiedade serão como palha; e o dia que está para vir os abrasará, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, de sorte que lhes não deixará nem raiz nem ramo. 2 Mas para vós que temeis o meu nome nascerá o sol da justiça e salvação trará debaixo das suas asas; e saireis e crescereis como os bezerros do cevadouro. 3 E pisareis os ímpios, porque se farão cinza debaixo das plantas de vossos pés, naquele dia que farei, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. 4 Lembrai-vos da Lei de Moisés, meu servo, a qual lhe mandei em Horebe para todo o Israel, a qual são os estatutos e juízos.
5 Eis que eu vos envio o profeta Elias, antes que venha o dia grande e terrível do Senhor; 6 e converterá o coração dos pais aos filhos e o coração dos filhos a seus pais; para que eu não venha e fira a terra com maldição.

4 [a]«Porque viene el día, ardiente como un horno, y todos los soberbios y todos los que hacen el mal serán como paja(A); y el día que va a venir les prenderá fuego(B)», dice el Señor de los ejércitos(C), «que no les dejará ni raíz ni rama. 2 Pero para ustedes que temen[b] Mi nombre, se levantará el sol(D) de justicia con la salud(E) en sus alas; y saldrán y saltarán como terneros(F) del establo. 3 Y ustedes pisotearán a los impíos(G), pues ellos serán ceniza bajo las plantas de sus pies(H) el día en que Yo actúe», dice el Señor de los ejércitos(I).
4 «Acuérdense de la ley de Mi siervo Moisés, de los estatutos y las ordenanzas que Yo le di en Horeb para todo Israel(J). 5 Yo les envío al profeta Elías antes que venga el día del Señor, día grande y terrible(K). 6 Él hará volver el corazón de los padres hacia los hijos(L), y el corazón de los hijos hacia los padres, no sea que Yo venga y hiera la tierra con maldición[c](M)».

4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

4 [a]“Surely the day is coming;(A) it will burn like a furnace.(B) All the arrogant(C) and every evildoer will be stubble,(D) and the day that is coming will set them on fire,(E)” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch(F) will be left to them. 2 But for you who revere my name,(G) the sun of righteousness(H) will rise with healing(I) in its rays. And you will go out and frolic(J) like well-fed calves. 3 Then you will trample(K) on the wicked; they will be ashes(L) under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.
4 “Remember the law(M) of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb(N) for all Israel.(O)
5 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah(P) to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.(Q) 6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children,(R) and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike(S) the land with total destruction.”(T)
