Final Admonition
4 “[a]For behold, the day is coming, (A)burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be (B)chaff; and the day that is coming will (C)set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branches. 2 But for you who [b]fear My name, the (D)sun of righteousness will rise with (E)healing in its wings; and you will go forth and (F)frolic like calves from the stall. 3 And you will (G)crush the wicked underfoot, for they will be (H)ashes under the soles of your feet (I)on the day [c]that I am preparing,” says the Lord of armies.
4 “(J)Remember the Law of Moses My servant, the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.
5 “Behold, I am going to send you (K)Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. 6 He will (L)turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and (M)strike the land with complete destruction.”

4 Ty se, dagen kommer, och den skall brinna såsom en ugn. Då skola alla fräcka människor och alla som göra, vad ogudaktigt är, bliva lika strå, och dagen, den som kommer, skall förbränna dem, säger HERREN Sebaot, så att varken rot eller krona lämnas kvar av dem.
2 Men för eder, I som frukten mitt namn, skall rättfärdighetens sol gå upp med läkedom under sina vingar. Då skolen I slippa ut och hoppa såsom kalvar, som hava varit instängda i stallet.
3 Och de ogudaktiga skolen I trampa ned, ty de skola bliva såsom aska under edra fötter på den dag, då jag utför mitt verk, säger HERREN Sebaot.
4 Tänken på Moses lag, min tjänares, åt vilken jag på Horeb gav stadgar och rätter för hela Israel.
5 Se, jag skall sända till eder profeten Elia, förrän HERRENS stora och fruktansvärda dag kommer.
6 Och han skall vända fädernas hjärtan till barnen och barnens hjärtan till deras fäder, för att jag icke, när jag kommer, skall slå landet med tillspillogivning.

4 CHÚA Vạn Quân phán: “Chắc chắn ngày đó đang đến, sẽ cháy như lò lửa. Tất cả những người kiêu ngạo và kẻ làm điều ác sẽ như gốc rạ, và ngày đó, là ngày đang đến, sẽ thiêu đốt chúng. Không một cái rễ hay một nhánh nào còn chừa lại cho chúng. 2 Nhưng các ngươi, những người tôn kính danh Ta, mặt trời công chính sẽ mọc lên với sức chữa lành trong tia sáng nó.[a] Và các ngươi sẽ đi ra, nhảy nhót như bò tơ được thả khỏi chuồng. 3 Bấy giờ các ngươi sẽ chà đạp kẻ ác; vì chúng sẽ là tro bụi dưới gót chân các ngươi trong ngày Ta làm những việc này.”
4 CHÚA Vạn Quân phán: “Hãy ghi nhớ Kinh Luật của Môi-se, tôi tớ Ta, những sắc lệnh, những quy luật Ta đã qua người truyền cho cả Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Hô-rếp.
5 Này, Ta sẽ phái tiên tri Ê-li đến với các ngươi trước khi ngày lớn và kinh khủng của CHÚA đến. 6 Người sẽ hướng lòng cha về với con cái, và lòng con cái về với cha, kẻo Ta sẽ đến và sẽ giáng sự rủa sả trên đất này.”
