Malachi 3:13-15

13 “Your words have been [a]arrogant against Me,” says the Lord. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’ 14 You have said, ‘It is (A)pointless to serve God; and what (B)benefit is it for us that we have done what He required, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of armies? 15 So now we (C)call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also put God to the test and (D)escape punishment.’”

What is the gain if we keep[c] his requirements, and if we walk as mourners before[d] Yahweh of hosts? 15 And now we are calling the arrogant blessed! Not only do those who do wickedness prosper; they also test God and they escape!’”
