Malachi 1:14-2:2
New International Version
14 “Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal(A) to the Lord. For I am a great king,(B)” says the Lord Almighty,(C) “and my name is to be feared(D) among the nations.(E)
Additional Warning to the Priests
2 “And now, you priests, this warning is for you.(F) 2 If you do not listen,(G) and if you do not resolve to honor(H) my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse(I) on you, and I will curse your blessings.(J) Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.
Malachi 2:8-10
New International Version
8 But you have turned from the way(A) and by your teaching have caused many to stumble;(B) you have violated the covenant(C) with Levi,”(D) says the Lord Almighty. 9 “So I have caused you to be despised(E) and humiliated(F) before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality(G) in matters of the law.”(H)
Breaking Covenant Through Divorce
10 Do we not all have one Father[a]?(I) Did not one God create us?(J) Why do we profane the covenant(K) of our ancestors by being unfaithful(L) to one another?
